Racers - you can buy the season pass for practice for $699 and then upgrade to a school anytime you like for $150. That's a very good option that several riders take advantage of.

Do we need to buy the season pass for Friday racer practice in advance or can that be paid for at the first Friday practice of the year?

Eric, or anyone else who can answer this. I'm planning on doing the license certification at the Loudon Classic. I see that the schedule is Wednesday/Thursday, because the classic is Fri-Sat-Sun. What's the difference between "2 day basic course ($500)" and "wednesday school + thursday practice ($425)"?

Alternatively, I don't see an option for just doing the license course on Wednesday.

For the 2 day basic course you get instruction and 1 on 1 time each day. For option 2 you get the school on Day 1 and simply ride in open practice on day 2. After having a night to digest things, many riders make a lot of progress on day 2...I definitely feel that it is worth doing both days.

After 5PM today the registration price will be $275, and that will stay in place until we leave for the track on Thursday morning...then the walk-in rates apply.

By the way, there will be a pretty big announcement coming from Penguin in the next week or two. Any guesses?

There are a number of tracks that are potentially on the horizon - including one that no one knows about (but is very likely to happen), and NHMS is likely getting a revamp very soon as well. All that is interesting stuff.....but that's a story for another day.
