You heard it here first....complete details to be released within the week. We are going to be running a weekend (Saturday and Sunday) event at NJMP on October 13 & 14. This special day is the result of several Ducati dealers who wanted to put something special together to end the season. So far we have Hudson Valley Motorcycles, Ducati New York, Fast by Ferracci, Riverside Motorsports and MotoMilano on board. We will make a post here first when registration opens - I expect to only have a very limited number of spots available (about 20) once these dealers firm up their commitment numbers.
This day will be a special joint event between Penguin and TPM. Our riders will have their own pit/garage area, their own classroom, and will be separated into two track groups that are exclusive to Penguin. There will be a special air conditioned lunch area each day where we will conduct interviews and open up Q&A sessions with some great personalities from the world of motorcycling. All groups will participate in a detailed track walk on Sunday morning and benefit from some new instruction tools we are going to debut for this event. We expect a number of top instructors to be attending this event, including some past and present AMA champions. Stay tuned for details and hold this spot on your calendar as this should be a GREAT event.
For questions, please shoot an email to info@penguinracing.com. Since we expect this event to sell out very quickly, we will be creating a "preferred" email list of riders who will be notified FIRST when we open up registration for this event. If you'd like to be on this list, please just shoot us an email with OCT NJMP in the headline.

This is a track day event....with some extra features we are working on. Definitely Thunderbolt....I have been around Lightning and I really don't feel comfortable there. There might be a crew of guys going down there if someone needs a ride.
Is this open to all riding levels or ?
"Could you elaborate on that a bit? Just telling me not to run a specific tire, and giving me no true logical explanation is like telling me I'm going to get my dick sucked tonight, and not by whom."
There will be two levels among our riders. One will have no inside passing once the corner has started, and the other will follow the "no close passes" rule leaving 6-8 feet between you and the person you are passing. There is not a full race group during this weekend. Racers may attend, but they just need to follow the rules. We've had good luck on these days with that setup, and there is still a place for everyone to learn.
Sounds like a Great Time to fine-tune some skills on a nicely flowing track! Looking forward to it!!!
Oh wow, this I would love to do!!
Any idea of the cost, Eric? That will probably affect my decision.

Thank you to my sponsors: Sidi / AMSOIL / Klutch Industries
Cost will be right in line with the regular schools that we run.
Just an update.... there are going to be a number of AMA stars at this event from both the past and present. We just confirmed that Roger Lee Hayden will be attending, and we've got a number of other potential guests as well. It should be a great weekend.

Anyone need a kidney? Lightly used, low milage...
We expect to open registrations to everyone by Monday the 27th at the latest. We are firming up the commitments of all the dealers involved this week, and will have a list of instructors our for publication as well. We've got the requests from a number of NESR members who asked to be on the early notification list when we open this up and will be sure to put the word out to you guys prior to the general press releases going out for everyone else. This should be a fun time - I hope that we can do more of these weekend deals in the future.
Definitely IN!

Registration is now open!
will you have a daily schedule for this event. like can we tech fri nite? what the schedule of classroom seminars and such
I'm not sure on the Friday night tech....I've got to talk with everyone to see if that is possible. I should have more information later today. You'll be on the track once an hour all day, and there will be at least 5 classroom seminars between the groups each day, plus a track walk early on Sunday morning, and we'll have some education / entertainment during our lunch hour as well.
I plan to release a full schedule at least a week before the event for everyone who is coming.
Eric,
Any spots left?
Yes, there are some spots left. I just had a couple dealers who asked us to help fill some of the spots that they reserved - so you can still sign up on the Penguin website. I expect to be able to leave registration open for another 1-2 weeks.
....So, after this weekend we can now add that we have AMA Superbike Race Winner Roger Hayden. I want to congratulate him as I know that he has been working to achieve this goal for a long time and has a lot to be proud of. We'll be interviewing Roger during one of our lunch sessions to get all the details of how the weekend played out. Students will get the opportunity to both learn from and ride with one of the top riders in the country this weekend....a rare opportunity for sure. Limited space is still availble.

Damn! Spoiler! Glad to hear Rog won one but I haven't watched it yet and I'm avoiding anything that looks like it might have results in it. Didn't think this post would. Oh well!
Sorry about that.....I wasn't thinking about it too much.
Either way - you don't know which one it is that he won, so that much is still a surprise.
