This might be more appropriate in the racing section, but wanted to get Eric's input on this.
Last time I rode my motard in Jersey was 1 session at a track day and I blew my head gasket. So a little gun shy about racing a motard there. Sounds like all the classes will be running in the July lrrs event there?
Might I suggest we run the motard specific races on the go kart track?

Seen many Motard's run at NJ without incident. I would think the logistics of running a race on another track on the same day would be the issue!
I know Paul had his 690 there and that seemed good. The fact your doing over a hundred before hitting the straight is the issue I have. Your basically redlining a 450 engine that was meant to be run on dirt.![]()

Gear for it, set it tall enough that it can't get to the limiter. Sumos run with WERA and other orgs on MUCH bigger tracks than LRRS and survive, just gotta setup for it (and accept that it's going to be a slug in comparison as a result).
Sam is a bit sensitive when it comes to head gaskets. Poor guy had a rough 2015.
I went to MMI I know what Im doing here chief
This.
In truth, it was on an old bike with a built engine, so I'm sure the newer 450's might fair better. Your going to need like a 15 tooth front and 38 rear though. Lol
I usually have to let off on the straight at nyst and you come out way faster in Jersey.
Also, probably worth mentioning in this thread, gridding is based on sign up in Jersey, not points. And on top of the different gearing and chain you'll have to buy, they run a different transponder that you have to rent.

Definitely register early. I seem to remember Jimmy registering in January and getting front row gridding on all his races. Lol
I seem to remember you having some great starts from the back, Paul.
Their 300/ktm cup class used to be pretty stocked, too. Definitely some talented kids down there, too.

I'm all reg'd. I am finally getting really good starts on the R6. But T1 at Jersey seems even dicier than loudon as you can't really protect the inside enough to avoid someone deciding they are ramming their way by. Being up front will calm my nerves a little. When I raced the Isaac's SV there I got insane launches from back in the pack. The longer run to T1 means a great launch is a bigger advantage.
I thought the expert field was a little better with that? Definitely sketchy going in 4 wide and getting run into the grass.
I ended up 4 wheeling at the kink after wheelie hill once from someone taking the apex and pushing me wide, but that was in amateur which is like the wild west.
Definently an ass pucker moment at 100 mph though.

Jersey must be miserable on a motard (from the guy who couldn’t race a motard to save his life)
I rode an rs250 there once. That was fun as hell.
Definitely a good year to pick up a Kramer, though for this one reason.

If i were to come back it d be a Kramer for LW and/or R6 for MW.
Don't you have a new baby?
Babies and Kramers don't mix. Lol

Dont forget your red gas cans. Any other color is a no no
Enforced because they pump it.
Easy work around is have them fill a red one and then immediately pour it into your clear, vp can.
I like to stare right at them while I do it, too. Lol
