It was good to get a race weekend in with some nice weather (Friday and Saturday, anyway). I'm looking forward to June. There are a bunch of extra features - motard races with jumps, asphalt dirt track, TTXGP, ASRA races, the return of animal hill (or animal lot, as it has moved)...lots to do and see.
The two day school is always our favorite event of the year. Lots of time for extra detail, and guaranteed time for 1 on 1 tutoring. We are already about 2/3 full, so anyone wanting to sign up please be sure to sign up.
The Thurday practice is scheduled for 4 sessions - we are adding 10 Novices to the Basic group and having one, stand-alone AM/EX group (all bikes) and keeping it very small. The goal is to offer some practice without affecting the 2 day students. For anyone who misses out on practice, there is opportunity to join the school up to the point where we sell out (60 riders max).
More news to come!
All signed up for the 2-day school. Had a very good experience with the Basic School, looking forward to the extra detail, 1-on-1, etc. from the 2-day. Presently trying to engineer a Wed-Sunday vacation away from work for the Classic.

I think that you'll find it worthwhile. The 2 day format really allows for the extra time to break things down and give the extra attention that makes a difference. It's my favorite event of the year.
Pretty sure I'll be attending the school - Thursday only though.
I'm excited about learning some stuff and making some good gains before racing on Fri/Sat!!![]()

At last check, we had only 1 spot left in the Thursday practice for Novice riders and less than 10 for the Amateur Expert Riders.
The two day school still has spots available, and the Track Experience Group is the smallest right now. Any track ay riders that want to attend will definitely get a bunch of individual attention.
This should be a great event!
In for the 2 day. I did this last year, and have no words for the amount I learned. It was amazing. Can't wait for a repeat!

For Thursday's racer practice - less than 5 Am/Ex practice spots left...1 Novice spot left.
For the 2 day school , the Track Experience course has openings...the Basic and Advanced courses are almost full.
The classic is shaping up to be a great weekend. I hope that all the NESR riders encourage friends and family to come up to enjoy the racing action!
I bet there aren't any Novice spots left now. Thanks for the reminder!

For Eric Wood and everyone here:
I need some advice on which school to take.
I am interested in racing eventually but I've only ridden the track a handful of times and am still pretty slow (running intermediate/beginner pace). Do you think I should take the basic class and get the race license out of the way, or would I be better off taking the track experience course?
Cost-wise, it would probably be cheaper to get the race license now rather than taking another school later...
FYI: I live in NYC, so I have never ridden at Loudon and will probably not get to run there much. Most of my experience is at NJMP (thunderbolt). My friends and I have heard a lot of great things about the school and about 6 of us are all coming up from the NYC together.
For your first time, I would recommend the track experience. The sessions have low rider density and you get to focus 100% of improving your riding. Our instructors there can help you determine if you are ready to race. If you end up deciding to race this season, you'll likely want some refresher information before you start anyway.
We look forward to seeing you up there!
The Novice rider practice is now sold out. Any Noice riders who would like to get some time (and some extra speed) for the Classic can take the advanced course in the two day school - there are still a few places left.

The Thursday racer practice session is now 100% sold out. Thursday of the 2 day school is also 100% sold out. There are 8 spots left for the Wednesday School (Basic, Advanced and TRack Experience are all running).
If anyone wants to get on a waiting list either for practice or the school - please call Cathy at 978-400-8204 and let her know. A couple spots may open up last minute.
Eric,
Oh no!
I just called Cathy to get on the waist list for the 2-day school. I had actually planned to attend with 6 other friends (who have already signed up) and would really like to come if at all possible.
Thanks,
Jeff
We will let you know if we have any openings.
Eric, I got a spot from Cathy! Thank you!
Can't wait!!!

You were first in line for spots that opened up....
Cool, there's a group of 6 of us all coming up together for the 2-day school from the NYC area. We'll be taking 2 SUVs+2trailers. Any route suggestions or just follow GPS?
I'd follow GPS.....I suspect that going 95 North to 93 is the way to go...once you get out of the city, which is never really fun.![]()
