Where did you ride today?
I am optimistic that they’re are still people here who ride frequently. Let’s see if we can bring back some more riding content.
I’ve got a well-worn 30 mile loop that is my go to relax ride. It goes down to Scituate Ma and then along the coast up to Nantasket, cup o’ joe, and back home through some nice mellow curvy roads in Hingham and Norwell.
I rode it tonight.
Trying to get up to Maine for a day or two Fri/Sat and then the opening of the Fryeburg Fair on Sunday.

Re: Where did you ride today?
Yesterday I put the KTM away for the year and pulled the snowblowers out of the utility room. But I rode the SV to work and back today.
Gonna pull the A/C's out of the windows tonight.

Re: Where did you ride today?
I set out at 9am after the commuters and school buses had thinned out, first stop Verrill Farm, Concord MA for coffee & scone, then a loop that took me out to Harvard MA, about 80 miles all told.

Did 30 miles of single track trails at Buffalo Mountain in WV. I'll pull the street bike out when I get home.

Sunday. Annual Ralph Razee ride for Alzheimer’s. 90 minutes plus another hour round trip to the ride. Sore and tired today. In a good way.

Re: Where did you ride today?
We went glamping this weekend, so I didn't make it out. Managed a day or two commuting last week though. This summer's been a fuckin' wash. I'm around the 3000 mile mark from this year. That's a far cry from what I spun up last year. It's far from over for me though, so there's still hope I'll log a bit more. We've got a couple rides planned besides the usual putzing around.
My new go-to "loop" to blow off a little steam when time is short is a quick blast over to & up Route 153 (NH). If I wanna get out and I'm pinched for time, I take a quick spin up to the Effingham boat launch on the Ossippee River to take the edge off. Not really a loop because I just take Route 153 back. But it's an awesome road that isn't TOO heavily travelled.
It's also a great way to avoid typical Route 16 tourist traffic if we're heading north to the Kanc (over-rated, over used, but incredibly scenic), or up to the Coos area, or even getting to Fryeburg. It's a great way to avoid the Conway area getting to places north on that side of the state.

SHHHHHHHHH if you tell everyone it will get more congested...........
I do the same thing if I'm headed that way. Much nicer ride then RT16.

Meh...people have already found it. There's more than a few "cut-offs" that run from Route 16 to (and around) Route 153, and they're starting to find them. You just gotta know when to hit it. Living close has it's advantages.

Rt 16 isn't a ride, unless yer talking north of Berlin, 153 will get more congested due to covid, and working remote, lots of summer homes on the lakes have become year round homes, as little work as I am doing, I'm working on a subdivision right on 153 in Effingham, and another in Eaton, I tend to stay off 153 and use Class V roads
I haven't been on my 2 wheelers at all, been spending my time off road on my UTV, got some real good riding on Labor Day weekend at my brother's camp in Vermont. Going out to do trail repair/bridge building, this coming weekend at Walmart in Somersworth

Re: Where did you ride today?
Not sure where to yet, but I'm definitely gonna get some seat time in this weekend. Flying solo Sunday, so it may be a nice 2-day stretch for me. Not sure where or when yet though. I have a few buddies camping at Bentley's this weekend and their end of the year car show is Sunday. Who knows though? The whole "biker bar" thing really wore thin on me...

Re: Where did you ride today?
Last week I rebuilt the clutch slave cylinder on the ZRX, new seal and spring, and cleaned a lot of gunge off the piston and the bore, flushed fluid, feels good. Then Thursday did some local loops mid-day, about 65 miles, to check it out, I love this bike even if I'm using only about one-tenth of the power. I just ordered Renthal superbike handlebar, that should feel even better. Looks like this these days:

A friend has the Eddie Lawson edition that he's spent the last few years converting to the Pike's Peak ZRX clone...kind of. Looks sick!

Shit came up this past weekend that didn't leave time to ride. Think, "...maybe Bed, Bath & Beyond. I don't know if we'll have the time..." :(

Re: Where did you ride today?
Taking Monday off solely for the purpose of going for a ride. No particular destination yet, but I'd like to avoid tourists traffic. Although, a ride up through the notches isn't out of the question. Don't know if I'll make it up again that way this season.
I may take a decent loop down to & around Massabesic Lake and grab lunch on the outskirts of Manchland. Or maybe hit the roads between me & Molly Stark and head that way for lunch and those fine roads.
EDIT: Molly's is out. They're not open Mondays...

Re: Where did you ride today?
Rode the beast into work today. 50 when I shoved off, 45 when I got down to Epsom, slowly rose to 55 by the time I hit Manch. TOTALLY cured my mild hangover in minutes. Can't wait for the ride home. If it wasn't my boy's birthday today, I'd definitely take the long way home.

Re: Where did you ride today?
Didn't stop for any photo ops yesterday, but had the afternoon off from work.
Took a quick loop from M'Boro up through Sandwich (saw the fair setting up), over 113 to Holderness, down Winona (getting a little bumpy), hopped around Meredith Center a little, then back home.
Nice little 60 mile loop.
Weather was absolutely perfect, and was one of those days I could have kept going forever.
Plan to ride to work tomorrow, should be nearly same weather as today.

Nice loop! How was the pavement looking on 113?

Re: Where did you ride today?
Pretty rough. Not as bad as 113A, but bumpy.
Closer you get to holderness, the better it is, I'd say.
Might pull it off the quick/fun run loop list for a bit.

That sucks. The 113's are fun roads when they're in good shape. Last I remember them being fresh was when I had my TL-R. That was quite a while ago!

Re: Where did you ride today?
Yeah, if I'm heading out for 1 to 2 hrs, I'm more likely to go play on the east side of the big lake these days(109/171/153/all the in betweens/etc). Long term plan is to get an adv bike with suspenders to handle the bumps but that's likely not happening til the mini-mes are a little older(5 to 10 yrs maybe). Even though it's bumpy, the ol red girl still rustles the jimmys though.

Re: Where did you ride today?
Celebrated my last day of training at my new job today. Played 18 in the morning and took the bike out for 100 miles. Nothing noteworthy but it was a beautiful day to be on the bike

That has to be one of the worst places to get false neutrals :spit:

Yup. Definitely a pucker moment for sure there. Not that I think that anywhere on that course is a good place for a false neutral to occur.

Re: Where did you ride today?
Did a 220+ mile trip yesterday. Mixed main roads & back roads, up into the White Mountains through a couple notches, late lunch in Lincoln, then the Kanc, then hightailed it home via main roads. Five bikes and two trikes for most of the trip. Stopped at some scenic areas to take the edge off, etc.
Beautiful weather, but the colors weren't quite full yet. I was really suprised. While we hit some heavy traffic spots, it wasn't as bad as I expected. Mostly because we were going the opposite way most of time tourists were fighting to get home. By the time we headed south to get home, the traffic heading that way was flowing good.
The dickhead with the Mercedes (Mass plates) who blocked an entire travel lane on the Kanc while he was SOMEWHERE taking pictures definitely took the cake. They nosed in at a full parking area, leaving the entire rear end of the car sticking out into the travel lane. They should be shot.
TONS of motorcycles out there yesterday, everywhere we went.

Re: Where did you ride today?
Rode yesterday to work, I only hit 1 streetlight the whole way which is great.
Rode a couple hours after through rowley, Ipswich and Hamilton, no clue where just went.
DRZ is running great after the jet kit with no lag or flat spots whatsoever.
Actually really like the bike for non highway rides.
Just hit 1047 miles

Re: Where did you ride today?
Took my newly built by me Ironhead sportster for a 20 miles shake down run around Sturbridge. It did not leave me stranded as i assumed it would. Might range a bit further tonight.

Re: Where did you ride today?
First ride in two weeks today, thanks to a knee issue (I'm old). Out on the ZRX again, a 95-mile local loop, all in MA, mid-morning to early afternoon, the least traffic time for a weekday, some of my usual scenic roads, from Arlington out Route 2 west to Lexington, gassed up, then through Concord, Carlisle, Acton, Westford, Groton, Ayer, Lancaster, Harvard with a stop on Prospect Hill Road, then back roads through Littleton, Carlisle, Concord, and 5-mile blast on Route 2 home. I really like the feel of the new handlebar, Renthal superbike, just 1.5" wider than stock, with a bolt-on cross bar, and I always liked the feel of thick-wall aluminum bars. I've put 1900 miles on the bike since getting it last December.

Re: Where did you ride today?
Thinking about a Sunday morning pre-game spin. Probably just a couple/few hours, just not sure where yet.

Re: Where did you ride today?
Went for a short bleem on the KTM today. Might get another in tomorrow.
