    Angry bike unsafe at home

So I had the bike parked on the driveway for a week, when I woke up one morning and found it on the side with most of that side's parts bent or smashed.

I was pissed at first, but got over it, thinking it was probably just the wind. The bike was still rideable with a new peg and turn signals.

Then I suspiciously found parts of the broken turn signal lens in the garage, and noticed damage on the minivan's turn signal lens and figured out what happened: my older sister (25 years old) had driven into the bike, knocked it over, then just drove away, didn't say anything, or offer to pay.

When I asked her what happened, she started to steam up, sighed, and said "I don't knowwww"

In the 5 years I've owned street motorcycles, I always expected to find it knocked over in public parking lots, but at home? come on!

    sometimes you just can't win...

Your sister sucks for that, she should of at least fessed up to it and payed for the damages. My older brother would probaly do the same thing if he "accidentaly" hit my bike.

Wow, that sucks...your own sister not telling you as soon as it happened. Put in the claim; then tell her you don't have a sister. That should even things up. A bit...

...of course, this begs the question of why you're still living in the same house as your sister...!!!

Tell her she's lucky you don't report it as a hit & run & if she's not willing to pay for the damages that you'll need to go through insurance & that you need her insurance info.

wait she drives a minivan? eheh, but ya make her pay (for parts not with punches) and if not then I would probably resort to smashing panels on her minivan with a bat or club of some sorts and then yell OOOOOPS!!

I think Pete got it here...because that's exactly what she'd done. Had it been a perfect stranger on the street, that's how you'd see it. Yes she's family, but she did you wrong, and now she has to fix it. Time for you to thight the screw on her. Bike parts are not cheap and you shouldn't be the one to absorb the cost.

yea really...she's a big girl now and needs to own up for her mistakes, especially when she does damages to someone else's property (even her brother's). Make her pay for the damages and be done with it.
