Tire Suggestions?

So I am FINALLY getting my bike back on the road in the next week (which is another story all together) but need to get some new tires. I ride a GSXR 600 with some spirit but to date 100% on the road. I would like to maybe do a track day this summer at some point but its not a certainty (I am broke and getting married=bad combo for anything moto related).

Suggestions for a tire set that will last me for some good miles and not be completely useless if I do get to the track???

I have DCIII's on my gsxr 600 and love em, but my last bike was a cruiser and this is my first sport bike so basically I don't know shit about tires.

I just put on a fresh set of Pilot Powers 2CT (first time trying them). Degsy was telling me about how great the DCIII's are. I think next time I need tires I'm gonna try the DCIII's.
