That's what so great about bikes there are so many different kinds, all with different quirks. You have a variety of twins, inlines, number of cylinders, 2/4-strokes, etc. Why can't I just win the lotto and have one of each

    I don't prefer sportbikes, sorry

as much as triples intrigue me, I don't see a need for more than 2 cylinders on a motorbike

a sportbike really isn't a sportbike unless it's got an inline 4 or desmo valves

ok ok i got it my favoirites are my ktm motard single, my 999 xerox for a twin, my 675 daytona for the triple in the garage, my vmax for the v4 (kind of a sport bike..almost)my r1 LE for the I4, and my cbx 6 for the old school touch

but ill slum it on my rm, rc51, speed triple, and then my r7 for the hell of it

it all depends on my mood as to what i wanna ride

that reminds me, i need a bigger garage

The sound of a twin is better than a IL4 but I like the gut ripping acceleration of the IL4.

V-twin. Must be italian though. Nothing like hearing that Duwaaaaaaaahhhhhh, Duuwaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh, druuuuuaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh from a high performance italian twin.

    I like sound effects.

I-4 all the way. The twins just don't have enough power.

    what about the electric ones?

I saw an electric scooter at performance cycles, and wow...it's power band from 0-8mph is more linear than any vtwin or inline 4 I've ever seen.

While I love the exhaust note of 90-degree sport twin, I prefer a big-bore I4 to actually ride. I just can't get used to the low rpm shuddering shake of a twin. I rode Ducati ST3 just recently and I really liked the bike, but I'm just too far addicted to the smoothness of an I4. Yeah the v-twins have nice low end torque, but so does a big-bore I4, which also has a top-end that the twins lack.
