Over on STN we are putting together the 4th annual NE meet and greet ride to Great Barrington Ma. Last year we had 8 or 10 guys meet at 202 and 119 in Rindge and The Other Sean led them down. It was cold and alot of snow on the ground but it was still a good 300 mile ride.
Anyone interested let me know or post over there. Here is the thread.

I'm a definate 'maybe' for this! Assuming that we haven't put skiis on our bikes or built an Ark as escape from the flooding!!!

I'll be there. BUT only if TOSean's leading!
A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. - John Stuart Mill
Doesnt matter to me who leads... we will have to see if TOS is attending.
Still baffels me that everyone went in the one group and Andy and I seperate. The return up over Hogsback was interesting after dealing with the psyco in the BMW....

Interesting...yep, I'd say so.
It was a good time, and jsut the fact that we're talking about it again means that the season is just about upon us! About friggen time!
Too bad it is a race weekend. Last year was fun and a mini triumph rally. Those roads were sandy (more beach than road in some cases) and you guys were flying.
2006 Triumph Speed Triple - Street
2003 R6 - Track
2000 SV650 - Street/Track
That's right, back to a 2 cylinder, 3 cylinder, and a 4 cylinder.
Yeah, I was thinking of at least going to the races with Parker, and maybe even doing some corner work if they'd have me.
Not sure what I'll do now.
I'll be heading to the track on Sunday (TTD), but I might be able to make this.
Shame its a race weekend....have fun!

We did not look to see if this would interfere with racing but to tell you the truth I was pretty suprised when that was mentioned. I would have thought that racing would not start till end of May when winter if pretty much over.
I hope everyone has a great race weekend.

Its a bit too early to commit yet but I might be able to make it happen.
do we need to meet all the way up in NH though? I was thinking just a bit south at the JCT of 119 and 78. depending on the condition of the back roads I have a pretty decent route I can put together from there to
G barrington .
12 Vstrom 1000
09 KLR 650
09 Yamaha WR450F (street legal)
(hers)
13 Vstrom 650ADV
08 Yamaha WR250F(street legal )
09 KLR650
1st meeting place is Rt 202 and 119 in Rindge NH, leaving at ~830 heading to 2nd meeting spot at 202 South and RT 2. From there we can break in to groups and pick routes to Great Barrington.

What kind of pace for this ride?

V,
Multiple paces, multiple groups. Follow the link in the first post. We will all meet up in Great Barrington after lunch. How fast you get there is open to suggestion. I know I dont ride as fast on the GS as I used to so I wil be hanging with in 5 to 15 of the speed limit.
Cheese's group maybe be a little faster than that.

5 over speed limits is slow....lol 15 over is a bit more fun and depending of the area and the roads, sometimes I go faster. Not sure how "fast" Rob's group might be, but maybe it would be wise to stick with yours anyway. Also, don't know where I'd meet you guys, I'm in Southwick MA, Great Barrington MA is about an hour from me taking the main roads (maybe 91 North then Rte 2) but taking back roads would take longer and it would be nicer. If you guys are leaving from NH, that's not in my area at.all.
Where do you go after Great Bari? Going back towards NH?

Last year after lunch like 8 of us went up 7 to 9 and then over Hog's back Mountain and then split up from there.
Yeah 5 is pretty slow but you get to see the world a little better, haha.
Just run down to GB and meet us at one of the lunch places or at the Price Chopper parking lot.

I got my battery today, just need the new tires mounted, surely over the next few days. Since I'd have to meet you guys in Great Bari., I'd try to go up there with another rider...don't feel comfortable going that far away from home alone, in case something happend. I'd definitly love to join this ride.Besides...maybe 5 miles over won't be such a bad thing after all...new tires and all.
