This... You START with 15mil, but once the season starts, rider value is tied to how well they do. Once your team value drops your best bet is to go with riders you think will net you the best points per dollar, then trade back up once those value riders go up in price.
This week's best value rider was inarguably Marco Bezzecchi... only 1.3mil going into the round and scored 23 points... He's gone up 300k in value.
This week's worst value rider was inarguably Jack Miller... 3.2mil going into the weekend, had a terrible qualifying, got penalized which put him even further back and he only advanced 2 positions... 2 points... went down in value 300k.
Rough weekend for the Aussie... Sucks, I like the guy a lot. If you've got 2.9 to sign someone and think he'll back, he might be your man going into Austin.

Well, the 2nd week i had money in the bank to spend. You would think if the total value of your current riders was less than the cap you would be able to spend to it? oh well i will make do!This... You START with 15mil, but once the season starts
I'm having trouble figuring out what the problem is that you're having.
You're given 15 mil to start with... after round 1 begins that magic number disappears.
You spend as much or as little of that as you want on riders & a constructor...
As the season goes on, all the riders and constructors go up and down in value, and with it, everyone's team values.
If you want to trade a particular rider or constructor you can use THEIR value, PLUS your remaining salary to trade for whatever rider or constructor you want that you can afford.
There is no "cap"...
The only two numbers that matter after round 1 kicks off is your team value (total value of your four riders and constructor) and your remaining salary.
No matter how much or how little you spend, if your riders or constructor ends up sucking and go down in value, you lose money.
I had good round 1, a SHIT round 2 and a good round 3.
If your team's gone down in value and you don't have a ton of money to play with, look to trade your higher value assets to a rider or constructor you think will give you a better "dollar to points" value (See my "best value Bezzecchi" comment in my post above... he was just 1.3 going into Argentina, scored 23 points (fifth highest) and went up in value 300k).

Guess my issue is i thought that 15 mil was how much you can spend on any given weekend. Like right now my team (Airhead Red) is worth 14.8, Givin that I should have 200k in the bank to spend extra over what my team is worth. you're saying the cap or what you can spend is only the valve of your team?
Newp, 15 mil is ONLY relevant going into round 1.
Team Value + Remaining Salary = what you've got to play with...
If you don't have any Remaining Salary then 14.8 is all you've got for this upcoming round. (Yer better off than I am, I'm down to 13.5)

Oh man, my team (that is unchanged since round 1) is only $14.2M. Gonna be tough to pull myself out of this one.
A man of many names...Jay, Gennaro, Gerry, etc.
Got my work cut out for me. Glad Cota is more user friendly time wise.. Good Luck game is far different than last year.

The valuations have changed big time. Maybe for the better making the game harder. Last year I could trade and make adjustments without worrying about valuations. This year it's a different ball game.

Back to watching every practice before making adjustments. Franky M has been my biggest concern.
Yeah he's had a rough start... seems everyone's thinking he and that the Yamahas will start to have better results once they get back in Europe.
Side note...
So far, after three rounds:
Binder's got the most fantasy points with 74 with Mir in second
Bradl is at the bottom but with 10 points in only one start, that's not bad... Di Giannantonio's only got two more than that.
Interestingly, Darren Binder has the best Points per Race per Dollar ratio on the grid (based on current rider value). 56 points in 3 races, 2.2 mil (8.5 points per race per million)
Dovi's been been the WORST value... just 14 points over three races, currently 1.6mil. (2.9 points per race per million)
Second worst? Marc Marquez... 20 points, 2 races (instead of 3), 3.1 mil. And if you were one of the poor suckers that kept him for all three races, you only got 2.15 points per million
)
Fabio Di Giannantonio has the fewest fantasy points overall with just 12, but is still arguably a better value than Dovi at just 1.2 mil.
Actually, Marquez would be the worst if you factor in 3 rounds of racing rather than 2 race starts, but you could say that's a bit of an unfair stat.

Does he make it through the weekend without crashing? I don't think it's an if it's a when... Tough call fantasy wise guys history at Cota would say buy but this recent history says no!
With such a limited budget I'm at a crossroads. Marc could bail me out or completely sink me haha...we'll see how FP1-FP4 works out. Definitely going to be glued to the app this weekend.
