On another board I belong to, there is a sub-forum dedicated to reporting scammers.

The (deal) thread gets moved there, you can't edit past posts.

Might be something to look into?

Can I put a postive note with an asterisk after it?

Like, product was promptly shipped, as described and cheap, however the box had dicks drawn all over it, and I'm not convinced there was not product to testicle contact?

I get why, but at the same time I've done business with people that wasn't directly related to a for sale/wanted thread... like the boots and back protector I got from Noel. I think it came up in a general pit area thread.

The rating system will give a general idea, but it's not an absolute system. It's another resource, really.

Along w/ post-count whores, are we doing to have a group of people who want really high iTrader points?

People can't delete threads in the FS forum. It's been that way for a while.

Possibly. It really depends who deleted it and whether it was a soft or permanent delete.

This is only going to be used for FS forum threads, and sponsor forum threads. Anything sold outside those forums will not be elegible for feedback.

Exactly.

While it would be nice to let everyone go back and give feedback for everything they've ever bought or sold from any forum on NESR, it's just not practical. It would open the sysem up to fraud, score padding, and cause ongoing extra work for me. You can go back and leave feedback on threads that are still there, but I'm probably not going to put a lot of effort into digging up deleted threads.

I think it's perfectly fine to go from this point forward anyway.

The other things I look at when buying from a forum is, "How long has the user been here?" "What are their posts? Threads?" Look at the whole picture, rather than just the ratings...

That's just me though.

It does. Go into your profile and then click on the itrader score. It will also show up under your name when you post in the for sale forum.

There should be a way for the big guy (i.e. Frankenstein) to set it so the iTrader rating shows up underneath the user name in a forum view... at least, that's where it is on my other forums -- saves you the trouble of going to a member's profile to check the rating.

I've got it set to only display in forums where feedback-eligible threads exist, i.e. the FS forum and the sponsor forums.
