New Guy with a Spyder

So it's not a bike, but it's close enough. I have a 2013 Can am Spyder RS. I have some injury's from dumping a bike before that prevents me from driving two wheels now.
So I bought myself a Spyder and I've started motovlogging with it on Youtube. I'm hoping to get back into the scene(some groups frown on the 3 wheels) and have some fun times and get some good stuff for my channel.

I do tend to get more waves from sports bikes than any other type of bike. I wave to anyone, even those gold wing riders

Hopefully I can meet up some other local riders and go out cruising sometime.

It took me a while to get used to how it drives, very much like a snowmobile.

I'm sure you guys will or have seen me around. There's not many spyders around these parts.

Welcome! My wife has a 14 ST Limited that we bought brand new in 2015. She absolutely loves it! She just couldn't get comfortable on two wheels. I've been brought up riding ATC/ATV's and snowmobiles so I really like riding the thing here and there. I think the biggest issue motorcyclists have with them is that they think Spyder rider thinks it's a motorcycle. We really think of it as a street legal snowmobile or ATV. It's really nothing like a motorcycle other than the wind in your hair and you ride ON it, not IN it.

i dug up my old garmin to try a top speed run on rt240 sometime...i'm getting somewhere near 55-60 mph indicated with a 125cc so i'm guessing more like 50-55

The spyder is limted to 110 from the factory. It gets there pretty quick. It's got some power left so I'm not really sure what the real top speed is.

But yeah, most of us riders are aware that we are riding something different. but you will meet a few of the spyder riders that try to pretend it's a bike just to fit in.
