2011 CTS with 556 HP

Anybody see this? Wish I could afford this! First thing to go would be the wheels.. ack.... A nice 6 spoke chrome finish would look nice.

Cadillac CTS-V Coupe

Cadillac unveiled the CTS coupe, Cadillac's splashiest style statement to in recent years, at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November. This is the supercharged 556-horsepower high performance version with the same engine and transmission as the four-door CTS-V sedan. Given that the CTS-V can already out-race more expensive European competitors, the CTS-V coupe, smaller, lighter and with a slightly wider tail, should be even more exciting.

Other differences from the sedan include a more sloped-back windshield and Corvette-style touch-pads in place of traditional door handles. Like the sedan, it will be available with either a six-speed automatic or a six-speed manual transmission.

We coulda gotten a towing package for Big Shirl's 'regular' CTS4. Didn't bother looking into it though...

I've driven neither but get blind-drunk on the thought of 556 supercharged horsepower and a 6 speed manual wagon.



With that wagon, I'll be ready at a moment's notice to bring the kids to Mexico for lunch and be home with groceries by dinner.

Trust me, as kids get older than babies you don't want them in a car like that. At least
Not between ages 2 and 9. They make messes. Big fucking messes ( which I have no problem with anywhere but my car).

Get a coupe and keep the kids in a something else!

the 2011 CTS-V coupe has a center mounted exhaust, so towing might be difficult..

I looked at the regular CTS4 wagon last year when it first came out. It was really nice, but I couldn't get past the $54k price tag. I settled for a 9-3 wagon with a turbo 6/6spd. I'll definitely be looking for a used V in a few years, but I imagine the wagons will be really rare, especially with a manual. The manual wagon I have was hard to find, and is not nearly a luxury vehicle such as the caddy.

Yeah, never ever been a fan of Cadillacs before but I would love any of the CTS-V's in my driveway for a Daddy-mobile. :-)

Average age of Cadillac owners is 57. That's down from "65 to dead." I'm just not walking into a showroom filled with Escapades. IMHO Cadillac's "Art & Science" design theme, with all its' creases, is a massive failure. And the new SRX a big step backwards.
