DPMS upper low pro
MidwayUSA - DPMS Upper Assembly AR-15 Flattop Upper with Bolt Carrier Assembly 223 Remington 1 in 9" Twist 20" Bull Stainless Steel
heres a link for everything ya need
AR-15 at MidwayUSA
Only problem with the flat top upper is that you won't be able to shoot it in any DCM matches if you're looking to compete at all
I've been sponging all I can from that site. My bull build is:
Stag Lower
CMT flattop Upper
ACE Skeleton Stock
Rock River Arms 24" bull barrel
Rock River Arms bolt & carrier
Rock River Arms NM 2 stage trigger
Yankee Hill Machine rifle length 4 rail free float
A.R.M.S #35 QD Scope Mount
Harris 6-9" bipod
All I need to complete it is a scope.
So far I have ordered from
Adco Firearms
Bravo Company USA
Del-Ton, Inc
Eagle Firearms
Global Tactical Supply
PK Firearms
And I've had a good experience with all of them.
That's good to hear.
That's a fine looking setup.
How long ago did you buy your RRA stuff? I had an RRA stripped lower on order until I found out the backorder was 4-6 MONTHS. I was lucky enough to find a Bushy in stock that some guy had ordered and abandoned, so I snatched it up.
Anyway, I heard that they're really struggling to keep up with demand and they give preference to complete rifles (for obvious reasons), so getting parts requires a ridiculous wait.
I got the RRA barrel Here and it was a year ago. It looks like Adco might have some of the bulls in stock.
Some progress:
Bushy stripped lower,
DPMS lower parts (8000 grit polish on the hammer/trigger surfaces)
DPMS flat-top upper
16" bull barrel 1 in 9"
picatinny gas block
Free float tube
Soon to get Troy Industries BUIS and hopefully an ACOG if my wallet can take it...
Still trying to decide on a stock. It has to be fixed in th PRMA, so I'm somewhat limited. I'm thinking Magpul precision, but the rifle is already heavy enough with that bull barrel. I dunno.... more to come.
You will want a stock with weight in the buttstock to balance the front of the rifle. Otherwise it will want to tip forward and you will have to fight that as well as trying to hold it steady. Most of the people use a lead weight. You can shave it to get the balance you need. Bushmaster sell just the lead weight.
Whats the pull on the trigger? You should have gone with a Geissele two stage trigger. Only $279 and may be one of the best triggers out there.
You suck at life. Why don't you quit?
My dad told me I could be anything I wanted when I grew up. So I became an Asshole.
I mention this a lot but check out the Equipment Exchange on AR15.com. You can get a LOT of good buys there.
Bras cause cancer.

Counting this time I think you are up to once.

good point...
The Magpul is 28 ounces... so as long as it's not too heavy (highly unlikely) I'll be fine.
The trigger is currently stock DPMS... an upgrade is coming somewhere down the line. I just wanted to get it built first and I still have to save some $$ for an optic. I agree that Geisele looks nice. I need a third job.
I've been lurking over at the AR15.com equipment exchange... every retailer I call doesn't have the Magpul in stock, and I haven't seen any pop up there, but I'm in the market for other stuff, too. Lots of good deals... it's dangerous for the wallet over there.
Can't wait to get it done. On deck is a .308 bolt-action.
