Out of those cars I voted the mazda 6, but how about the galant,
Impreza there are lots of other similar options and have to agree with the Honda, toyota, acura.
HONDA.. Why look anywhere else
Gerard
Ok, so you guys have me looking at other foreign options..I will go test drive a honda today...And acuras look nice but a bit pricy..![]()

If you're looking for fuel economy why not look at the Mazda 3 as well? Friend just bought one and seems happy with it.
I wouldn't recommend the malibu. Another friend has one of these and I've ridden in it before. Whole thing seems like it's made out of recycled trash bags. Makes a civic look high end.
Where in NH?
Go see my brother at Boch Honda in Norwood, MA... he will probably give you an Accord for Invoice without you even having to haggle. Much nicer car then a Malibu or G6!
Just hurry cause as soon as the 2006s start coming in they will be butt-raping everyone who comes in. And I know that's only a couple weeks away.
Do you have to buy new? I commute 90 miles a day in a 98 Acura Integra, splitting time on my bike. I just sold it to my sister for $7k, it's got 70k miles on it...
I'd just be leary about buying new then throwing a ton of miles on it right away...that's a good way to get several thousand dollars underwater in a hurry.
Hi. More info please, thanks.Originally posted by benVFR

Malibu? Pontiac?![]()
Like above, check out Hondas, Toyotas, and Nissans(except TheIglu said Acura, which is Honda).
The Mazda 6 is OK, but nothing beats Honda or Toyota, and Nissan is a close third, when it comes to reliablility and resale.
Take it from a former used car salesman(as I'm slicking back my eyebrows).

Boch is on Rt. 1 in Norwood. To be honest I went there before I bought my RSX, and it is a total zoo in there, I would never want to go back there for service if I'd bought from them. And I'd probably go test drive somewhere else first if I were you. Just go in and see him if you know you really want a particular car, and he'll probably get you a good deal.
But the reason it is such a zoo is they are #2 in the country for Honda sales. They are so obsessed with becoming #1 that they appear to blow out Hondas when other places won't. Basically Honda is apparently giving kickbacks to the biggest dealers, such that if they sell enough they can make more money by selling the cars for less.
My brother's only been there since the July 4th weekend and I want to say he's sold like 30-35 cars already. I would bet 25 of those have gone out the door for invoice.
He has already said though, as soon as the redesigned 2006 Civics and Accords show up they are going to be asking for full MSRP though. He also said they don't discount the Ridgeline. Everything else is apparently up for grabs though, even the S2000.
They *will* try to play games on trade in values though, despite being willing to sell the new cars cheap.
i'd also stick with either toyota, honda, or subaru. the only car mitsubishi has that is worth buying is the evo.
from what i've seen, nissan has horrible resale value. i'm also a former used car salesman. *secret handshake*Originally posted by slaps76

Keep in mind the insurace for the car you buy.

I agree, don't touch the Mitsu's. You don't see them running for 200k as often as a Honda or Roy Yoda.

You can get a sick deal with the GM price and its not even a real GM. Hah.
One that I haven't seen mentioned was the VW Jetta. Not up to the quality of the Hondas, but the lease deals on them are insane right now ($199 / month). If the extra money isn't too big of a strain the Honda (Civic or Accord) would be my first choice. Good Luck...

VW Jetta was my DREAM car that I wanted so bad....but I heard sooo many bad things about the car from OWNERS of the VW, I got discouraged and I gave up the idea.Such a beautiful car tho...

I've found VWs to be hit or miss...some go 200k, some shit out under 50k. They do make some pretty hot looking ones though.
But to add a point to a previous VW-suggester...the lease deals may be great, but the original poster said she puts a lot of miles on...might not work on a lease.
Honda over a VW anyday x3.

Bump909, I agree on Subarus. They're great cars, reliability-wise, and think they're just starting to get the rep they deserve. As far as Nissans and resale, I think it depends on the model. Maximas were always pretty expensive used, but most of the other models drop faster than their Toyota/Honda counterparts...but they're still pretty reliable.
I wouldn't crap in the backseat of a Mitsubishi. I made the mistake of owning one, and have sold many others with problems.
VW's are the most fun to drive of the bunch so far...build quality is solid, they handle great, ect. Just prepare for some higher maintainence costs, like other German cars. To some people the "driving experience" is worth it.
