I wonder how many bikes got trashed in that filming. I assume one or two were run over by the hay bale, and they weigh in around 800-1200#.

God that was magical.

I was impressed with the front brake control slow-riding the nose wheelie down the stone retaining wall with the rear tire hanging out. It probably isn't most people's top moment, but that one just blew my mind.
He's got a reddit AMA going.
"I went through two Santa Cruz 5010 cc's during the filming of Wee Day Out. One of which I drilled holes in and filled with sand for the puddle scene. The other bike is still going strong" Source Evidence that he is super human and/or that the bikes are.
He also says "300 attempts at one trick can be quite normal! Other tricks in my videos such as the front flip over the ball onto the railway track in Imaginate took the same amount."

As many as three hundred takes per trick???
Clearly, he's just as good at crashing without getting hurt as he is at riding, and I mean that as a compliment.
Guy is superhuman. Absolutely connected to his machine like Avatar.
I went to MMI I know what Im doing here chief
I think he has a pretty dry sense of humor so it's tough to tell if he was that serious. Failure happens, but he comes from bicycle trials where getting things right the first try is so important. I'm guessing it's only the most complicated tricks that take him many attempts. There's an interview of him talking about one of the other films, behind the scenes style, and he talks about how they spent like all day trying to get one shot, and almost had to give up on it before he nailed it at the last minute.

Like watching Peter Pan ride a bike. Amazing. His other videos are top notch too. I'm assuming everyone has seen "The Ridge".
That shit should be in the olympics. Then people would watch...

I thought the landing both tires on the railroad track mustve taken quite a few tries
