"Q. What is an Economic Stimulus Payment?
"A. It is money that the federal government will send to taxpayers.

"Q. Where will the government get this money?
"A. From taxpayers.

"Q. So the government is giving me back my own money?
"A. No, they are borrowing it from China. You children are expected to repay the Chinese.

"Q. What is the purpose of this payment?
"A. The plan is that you will use the money to purchase a high-definition TV set, thus stimulating t he economy.

"Q. But isn't that stimulating the economy of China?
"A. Shut up."

! Below is some helpful advice on how to best help the US economy by spending your stimulus check wisely:

If you spend that money at Wal-Mart, all the money will go to China.

If you spend it on gasoline it will go to Hugo Chavez, the Arabs and Al Queda

If you purchase a computer it will go to Taiwan.

If you purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala (unless you buy organic).
If you buy a car it will go to Japan and Korea.

If you purchase prescription drugs it will go to India
If you purchase heroin it will go to the Taliban in Afghanistan
If you give it to a charitable cause, it will go to Nigeria.

And none of it will help the American economy.

We need to keep that money here in America. You can keep the money in America by spending it at yard sales, going to a baseball game, or spend it on prostitutes, beer (domestic ONLY), or tattoos, since those are the only businesses still in the US

this is why i stay out of most politcal debates these days....

long story short, this is not a stimulus package, it is a spending package...i'm not saying that as a slam against the dems either, the only reason they didnt vote for this one is their pork didn't make it in....

new boss...same as the old boss....bush's stimulation package didnt work, what makes anyone think thisw one will...

these bailouts are the equivelent of pouring an cup of water on a hot frying pan...it may take the heat down a couple of degrees for a short time but if you dont turn the heat down it'll go right back...

Obama approval has already dropped from 68 to 53 % in 2 weeks. Note a 15% drop occurred to Bush over 8 years....

Only gradually forcing the Chinese to allow their currency to float can save the USA economy. Every Union, environmental, global warming drives the manufacturing off shore...usually China.

I can not articulate it but there certainly a difference from someone who makes a profit by turning dirt and coal into a car and a sheeny lawyer politician suing or taxing money or a comodity trader never touching his product. 50 Years ago I see a proud Work horse Stallion (manufacturing economy) with some gnats and ticks on his back. Now there is a poor swayback with 10 fat cats and bloated ticks whipping the poor nag toward a glue factory. The fat cats don't recognize they will be walking soon.
