I cell (Sell?) for US cellular and they offer it too.
It's pretty fucking neat!
I'd check to see if they have a "For the Day" price.
US cell offers it for $10/Month or $3/Day.
You should have a data package too though.

So, they copied US again, huh?
Any free trial?
Now you have to decide if you'd really use it more than 3 times a month?

I'd accually need to get an updated phone in order to try it out but in a month my 2 years is up to get a new free phone. If the new phone isn't compatible, just wondering if I should get one that it works with.

I love my VZ nav. It's helped me out a ton! Just doesn't work unless you have coverage. I was using it to get up to Pittsburg, NH once, and my GF needed a bathroom break. As soon as we went off the route and it needed to recalculate the trip, it couldn't because I didn't have service. As long as it doesn't have to calculate outside of service, it's fine.
VZ nav ROCKS!
my brother had VZ Nav for like 2 months, got rid of it cause he couldnt stand it. I guess it was wicked slow even with full service.
i was contemplating getting it on my new phone with ATT, but figured i'd just save money in the long run and bought a portable Magellan... all you have to pay for is the unit, no monthly costs

Don't do it. It was fun to play with but for the life of the contract (24 months=$240) get yourself a real GPS.
You get a whole lot more from the real thing. Wife got me a Garmin for $180 and is rocks. Bigger screen, better search capability, .........

Google maps on my BBerry works just fine for me! A real GPS like Tom Tom or Garmin is so much more convenient and worth the extra bucks though

I use it all the time with my Voyager and works well. no suction cup on windshield telling thieves to break in, its my fone, Ipod, calculator, camera (2.0, i like it) all in one and its always with me.

Heres a condom. I figured since youre acting like a dick, you should dress like one too.
Btw - a Garmin Nuvi 350 can be had for ~250$ nowadays and the convenience of a separate device = priceless IMO.
My 2 years was up and it was time for another phone and I got that phone. Tried vz navigation on it and it worked out fine. I did only use it once for about 5 minutes though but seemed ok. Also I don't know if I'm paying $10 extra for it yet, it seems to be already on the phone when I got it. We'll see.

I've used it in the past when I got lost or trying to find a way around a traffic jam, paid the $3 for 2 days or so and it was great for that. I wouldn't pay for full time use as it is slow and not too quick to pan and zoom.
You might as well just take the $10 a month and put it towards a real gps for the car.
I have the tilt from AT&T and they nickle and dime your ass for that stuff. I pay something like $40/mo for unlimited data interwebs and such, however they want an EXTRA $7/mo to have the GPS directions. I can get turn by turn directions it won't recalculate the trip if I miss a turn though. It works well if you have a navigator. I am looking into getting a Magellan or TomTom. I think there is other software I can load on the phone that will give calculated directions, I am looking into that in the mean time.
Frank: yea that is the same prog I am bitter about it because I feel like im getting nickel and dimed the "drive to" capabilities are cool though. I was looking for the product but couldn't find it right off. There is a nice mount that you can mount a gps on your bike with I will edit the post again when I find it. I don't know if they make one that would hold my phone that would be cool though. Might be something to research.

Yea my phone has the TeleNav software on it, and for not more than the data usage it will give me turn by turn directions I just hit next and it will go to the next turn I have to make. Would be hard to do on such a tiny screen (tilt is touch screen) with gloves on. and the mount I was looking at for the bike is here: http://www.cyclegadgets.com/Products/RAM/ram.asp?prod=RAM-CAMERA then at the bottom you can get different attachments and holders depending on what you are trying to mount.
the only problem ive ever had with cell phone nav is that if you lose cell signal you lose your nav.
kinda a PITA. i used mine a few times but got sick of it. $200 will get you a real GPS.
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...
