Nice, the symbol stuff @ 7:20 is awesome.

Double bass drum pedals are one of the greatest inventions of all time.

the double bass pedal is one of the most annoying things ever...not in this case though. truly spectacular.

i know neil peart is widely regarded as the best drummer alive, but this is mind bending.

Incredible. I have trouble rubbing my belly and tapping my head at the same time.

When I saw it was that long I lost interest immediatley. But I watched it anyway. Pretty good stuff.

And, Neil Peart is a terrific writer too...Ghost Rider...great read.

This was awesome. I love double bass anyways, so it just added to what was already spectacular.

I wasn't all that impressed really. he's good but really there are many like him. a friend of mine back in high school was better, sadly I've heard he doesn't play anymore.

you think I'm joking but I'm not. There were few pros I would have rated above him, and yes granted I am not an expert. but he could play everything, pop, metal, jazz, anything. I brought over the original Godsmack cd just before they became famous and after a couple songs he was playing along with each song and had never heard them before. Aced every music class at Berkley except harmony. not sure why he gave up playing as I haven't talked to him in years as he's very anti-social even towards friends.

and we've met, when was that?

It's very easy for a drummer to change rythm styles.

Much harder for say a woodwind player to change from twangy jazz to stickler type classical, then back to blues, then to ... well you get the point.

Drumers just beat it, where us players blow ... uh i mean... Merry xmas!

Holy fucken shit is all I can say! You see him playing 16th notes with one hand! Kid is awesome. I played for many of years long ago, and I was never that good! Neal Peart got some competition now! Good find Pete!!

He has no style yet. If he develops a style, he might go somewhere. It just sounds like too much practice to me. And you guys need to expand your horizons... Neil Pert? Rock rythyms are simplistic.

For someone who's not a drummer I found that pretty darn impressive.

I was always told in music class that switching from any style to Jazz was really hard on any instrument.

I would disagree that it is easy for drummers to switch styles...I think I've seen a ton that suck at trying another style
