Not completely; I found that once you get the hang of it, it's not a big deal. Plus, who can complain about getting the experience, free room+board, and job perks (having pull in the system, free tickets and invitations to events, discount card at the bookstore, etc.)?

What planet are you living on haha! This is my 4th semester as an RA so I have the hang of it, however there are no perks other than room in board, you have no pull, you get no special tickets or invitations and no discount card! You do however get to spend hours of your life talking about parking, dealing with feminists and glueing coloring and cutting!
