I am still alive, just checking in! Hope all is well back home..

I have moved over to another job site in Saudi due to a major engineering failure in existing equipment. a 5 1/2 hour ride to the capitol of Riyahd with nothing to see but miles and miles and miles of Dessert. BORING. Oh I did see a ton of Camels too.

Now that I am here the issues on site are now even worse that expected. The customer is threatening to have our equipment removed and placing our company on the black list for future projects. So after long ass drive I may have to turn around and return to the job in Qurayyah.

I was supposed to go to China next. I can't seem to get answers from my boss as to what the hell is going on with my travel plans. Plans change every day.

How is the weather at home? Anyone riding yet? I have seen a bunch of bikes on Fridays here in Saudi, but the riding is like Florida, flat straight and boring...

I will try to post some pictures soon. I haven't really had much to take pictures of yet. Lots of old run down cement buildings and homes that are damn ugly. Some of hte newer builings in Riyahd and the country of Bahrain are very different, I just have not been able to get pics yet.

My services have no relation to the military.
My service is Managing/supervising; installation, commisioning, training and instructing/overseeing the removal and repairs Gas Insulated High Voltage transmission lines.

Right now the job I just got moved to we are removing, repairing recently installed equipment that has major engineering errors. & this Power plant is the largest plant I have ever seen. I just came for a rather huge power plant, and this one now makes the last look like a Tacoma sitting next to a 18 wheeler....

Sure cover my Flight from Riyadh and Hotel for two nights and I can do it. It would have to be set up for April 16th. I have to leave the country anyways. I do want to check out Dubai before it's a complete Ghost town. Seems not as many people can afford to live there anymore as compaired to all the developments they are building still.

Maybe from the I can Fly to Qatar like I wanted to that weekend?
