Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu often looks a bit , but at the end of the day, it is one of most dominating martial arts. Its primarily ground fighting and grappling, which is often how a fight is won (as opposed to boxing/kickboxing).

So, as soon as you're ready to come out of the closet......

This reminds me - UFC fight (58, I think?) tonight.

I cant wait to watch the Ortiz and Griffin fight. I'm hoping Griffin makes Tito into hamburger.

I like Sylvia, but I dont think he'll be taking the belt from that big scary Russian. Arlovski is crazy.

I used to really hate Tito (like everyone else seems to), but after watching him as a coach on the Ultimate Fighter 3, he seems like a pretty good guy. I think its going to be an excellent fight, I wouldn't know how to call it - Forest is pretty lethal, and does well with all-out wars.

Yip, what you said on all accounts. Arlovski in my opinion is a better all 'round fighter. The only thing I've really seen Sylvia really do is kick, knee & punch. Although he does those well...

I'm shocked to see what a good guy Tito's turning out to be. But I'd bet he's gonna turn into a shit on the show now. Now that he has control of the match-ups, Shamrock's gonna be a pissy, whiny bitch and Ortiz is gonna play that big time. I'm anxious to see if he's running his 'octagon persona' tonight too...

I'm SHOCKED! After the 1st round, I thought Ortiz was gonna crush Forest. I think he passed quite the test. In my opinion, Ortiz had NOTHING to be bragging about after the fight like he was. The decision coulda gone either way, easily...

I was just as shocked at the Sylvia/Arlovski fight! I'm still in awe...

Next up: Hughes & Gracie. Oughtta be interesting. Then again, every time I say that the fight turns out to be a bore...

I was pretty surprised by Ortiz and Griffin; I thought Ortiz came off a bit like a one-trick pony. When Forest kept things off the ground he did well; when Tito got things to the ground, they seemed to be seconds away from the end. All in all, that was one of the best UFC fights I've ever seen.

As Tito said, I'm sure they'll fight again.

I thought the Sylvia/Arlovski fight was a bit of BS. I dont think the ref should have called it yet, Arlovski was clearly shielding his face, and even though he was in a bad spot, I think he would have worked his way out of it if he'd been given a second.

Have to give a lot of credit to Arlovski for not whining or carrying on after the fight.

interesting what you guys thought. i didn't get to see it but read alot of different views on the results. most seem to think tito got lucky, scoring was off and the ufc wanted tito to win because of tuff 3 and the tito/shamrock rematch.

many feel that AA showed a weak chin. tim held strong after getting hurt to come back and drop the russian. if you guys hade to put money on a rematch who'd you go with? regardless of saterday's results i think arlovski's a better fighter and will win a rematch. then again i didn't see the fight.

In a rematch, I'd put Arlovski over Sylvia in a heartbeat. Arlovksi is a friggin machine, he's freakishly quick for such a big guy. Sylvia definitely took a nasty hit and recovered well, and I think it would have been one hell of a fight if it had gone the distance. I think the ref just jumped the gun a little by calling the fight that quickly.

As much as I dont really like Tito, and I really like Forest, I think Tito won, and I'd agree with the decision. It was defintiely close, but in the end Tito did more damage and dominated Forest enough in the 1st and 3rd rounds to win them both.

Personally, I was hoping Forest would knock that smug look off Tito's face; to some extent, I think he did.

maybe we need chuck to kick titos ass again i really hope but i doubt shamrock will beat tito.

i agree with you all the way on arlovski. that dude is scary fast with heavy hands. i think he'll be really motivated to rematch sylvia and beat him.
