What Are YOU Using For Spray-On Liners?

Note how I emphasized YOU. Not your uncle Louie, although I'm sure he's a helluva guy. Nor do I care that your buddy Tim used 'x' brand on his 1992 Toyota, as stand up as I'm sure he is...

I wanna know what people HERE are using these days for spray-on bedliners & why. I'm only interested in first-hand experiences in case you didn't catch that...

I was very happy with the Speed Liner that I had put into my Tacoma. I'm looking between Line-X, Speed Liner and Steadfast for the new F-150.

Re: What Are YOU Using For Spray-On Liners?

I have Ameraguard in my Ranger:
Sprayed Bedliner Protection and Polyurethane Protective Coating by Ameraguard - Armaguard

See the site if you want to know the differences between it and line-x.

I had it sprayed in by an authorized shop in Peabody (one guy operation iirc). He did a fantastic job, really took his time prepping the truck and doing it right (removed all the bolts in the bed, etc). If anyone wants his info let me know.

I've had the truck for almost two years now, and there isn't a single scratch in the stuff. I even opted for the thinner (i.e. not "heavy duty) coating, and I've dragged quite a bit of crap in/out of the bed.

    +1 for Ameraguard.

So, what are these generally running everyone? Say, for a 6' box on a full-size pick-up?

I have Line-X on mine and it is great. I have hauled everything from wood, stone, bikes, furniture, scrap metal and there is not a gauge in it.

I can't quote you on price because my cousin hooked me up, but I think it normally runs about $450.

    Plan on $400 - $500...

some guys charge extra to prep and spray over the top of the bed rails.

Re: What Are YOU Using For Spray-On Liners?

I bet he got the Titan..

My Line X was $75, but prices have gone down to $400 on special which I bet you could get with this economy. There was no additional cost for removing bolts and prep it was all inclusive. It was an additional charge if you wanted to go up over the bed rails and tailgate rails. The guy in Marlboro which is Line-X / Specialty Automotive was excellent and done in a day. He needed the truck for two days though in order to clean and prep, the next day he sprayed it in let it cure and put the bed back together again. I highly recommend this location. But way too far for you to travel...

Re: What Are YOU Using For Spray-On Liners?

ive used rhino liner in my last two pickups. i like it better then line-x because it has a more rubbery texture rather then a hard gritty texture. as far as people saying it chips/peels, its all in the person applying it. prep work is key. only thing is that both my liners faded but i dont care, i use my truck bed and didnt expect it to stay a glossy shade of black.

basically both line-x and rhino are top of the line. depends on what texture you like better.

True, they are both top of the line, and I beieve with both applications you have color choices now to match you truck or whatever color you want. The color of mine is still good, but thats probably because I have and keep my Tannoeu cover closed all the time which keeps the LineX out of the sun..

My Line X is the harder texture which doesn't help "Grip" where as the Rhino if it does indeed have the rubbery texture will help hold things from moving in the bed.
