I think I've decided on a Monster 1100 Evo! So someone help me out and buy this lol. I took it for a ride today and she ran great!
I had the red 2001. GREAT BIKE!
I agree they are great! I'm open to offers, I'd hate to trade it in and take a hit on it.
I haven't brought it to the dealership yet, I'm hoping someone will make an offer first. I think whoever sees it in person will want the thing it's so clean.
I've been taking it to work every day so the miles will go up a bit! Bump
Trade in value is $1800. I'll beat it by $100. Retail is $2800.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
KBB gets that number assuming the bike has over 20,000 miles...
I've pretty much concluded any price guide on motorcycles is useless. In a private sale, the market always dictates what you will ultimately get. Those guides are for dealerships, insurance companies and RMV/ DOR. I should know I work for an insurance company. BTW, nice bike!!
Mileage on bikes is fairly meaningless though, because nobody puts enough miles on their bikes around here to actually wear them out. 10,000 miles or 20,000 miles. Chances are the bike won't see 50,000-100,000 before it's left in someones garage to rot for 10 years or it's crashed. So essentially most bikes for sale have very little mileage wear, but alot of neglect wear(ie sitting in someones driveway/garage and not being run). In this case really low miles hurt the value somewhat. This is also why KBB and NADA don't have a spot to put mileage for a bike, but they do for a car.
