Radar Detector Passport 8500

I bought this for a trip I was taking a year ago. I dont use it any more but it still works fine. No structural damage, screen is intact and working fine. All connect ports are tight and intact. The City/Highway/Auto button sticks a bit but other then that still picks up radar just fine. Used it for nearly 2000 miles down to west virginia. Found the blues every time.

They go for nearly 400 brand new. Ill take 100 bucks or best offer not including shipping. Let me know if you have any questions.

yes they doo. it's probably one of the best detectors you can get.

I have the otherwise identical blue model and it has saved me many times. The 8500 X50 model in the picture also has POP radar detection.

I like the multiple threat tracking feature which visually shows the relative intensity of multiple radar and laser threats.

$100 is a great deal for one of the best detectors you can buy.

I used an 8500 six years ago and it was a nice detector. I'm a V1 fan now, but you can't go wrong with the 8500 at this price.

There is a small fuse in the smart 12V power plug. If you get nothing look in there. It is soldered but still easy to change

The Escort Passport X50 is the runner up. These run about 300$ and 340 for the blue one..
I recommend these if you don't want to fish out 400$

also escort sells reconditioned ones for 150$. Great investment.
