I think I will sell this exhaust, it is too loud for my tastes on the repack I did yesterday. It is louder than it was a few weeks ago, it is a great-looking and quality piece though and would be a GREAT track pipe or pipe for someone who lives in more open areas.
I'm going to go to a stubby (if someone has one I will trade) so I'll let it go on the cheap, I dunno... $350.... original retail was like $1,200.

Thread cleaned up. Follow the for sale rules.
You could probably have baffles made. That's what others do for the 1050 pipes, like the Tridents, etc.

I've had a few years experience in this when we used to be the US distributor for Renegade Exhaust which was based out of the UK. Assuming you've used the correct material, the trick to repacking an exhaust is not to pack the material in too tightly. The more material and the tighter the packing, the louder the sound will be. If its too tightly packed the sound bounces off rather than being absorbed or dampened by the packing. Of course you don't want to use too little packing either. There is a balance to be struck. You know what I read that, I have been googling all over the damn place and saw that. We used the FMF sheet, I'm sure it's "adequate" as you say on that side LOL but it may have been too tight. I am prepared to try it one more time before I sell, here are the before and after pics, I have not pulled the new pack out yet to see what it looks like.
