I went with these this year. Planning on going with 5/8", but I'm wondering if I should step up to the 3/4". Maybe for tire longevity I'll just go with the shorter ones?
Hard carcass, tall well spaced-out knobs, flat profile. Going with a tractor-style type pattern with the screws me thinks. Unless I set to drinking while I'm doing it, in which case I'll end up jamming 4 & 5 into each lug. Which is more than likely...
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
Sounds like someone up there in the North is out for blood! Hey Mark , is the turbo on the 450 all hucked up?![]()
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

This thread makes me sad. I need a damn lake!
Can't we ride on public lakes in ma? I know the rules posted on certain boat ramps will say something like "motorcycles shall remain an appropriate distance from...(people).", and i've seen kids ride snowmobiles on lake quinsigamond in Worcester
Christmas day is often a great day to ride!
Tire + wheel kit ordered
Call and order the studs tomorrow (thanks stoneman)
Shopping around for the DuraBlue front lowering link now
All I need to decide on now, do I get heated grips or some of those slide over bar mittons??

I did not plan to ride ice this season , I would have to get a stiffer compound tire for both of the 70ies, so instead if all goes to plan I will be spending the weekends this winter starting to cut trees and limbs out of the way for trails that I want to cut. I have heard that it is supposed to be a cold but not trribly snowy winter this year which will lend itself well to trail cutting .
As I said "if " all goes to plan we should be signing on dec 20th, just in time for christmas .
oh and mark, these work well and are cheap

Good Luck with everything, Sean! There is some mighty nice country out your way!
Liners are real simple for quads. Find some old (balder the better) quad tires one size smaller OD than you're running,i.e. 20" or 22" if you're running 24", and cut the sidewalls off and inssert them in your tire before you run in the screws. If the fit isnt right cut the liner and shorten to fit, then using tire patch glue or good contact cement, glue a piece of tube to stitch it back together. Personally I go to a company that sells belting by the foot in various widths for conveyor belts and it is relatively cheap. The screws hold it in place and the piece of inner tube stitching it together is just to keep the seam from pinching the tube. If you have no money and lots of time you can usually get pieces of the rubber belting frre, used, from any quarry or concrete plant, they replace it all the time and they have to pay to get rid of it, but it will be wide and you will have to cut it.
Miss on you pister, go back off in your own jackyard! No ,I'm dot nyxlesic!!!
You should still stud the mini's and ride. Late fall and early spring is best for trail cutting
And that's one hell of a xmas gift to the both of you, congrtas
Back on topic, how are those hand/bar mittons as far as hand movements go? Can you wear a regualr riding glove with them and still keep your hands warm?
