Did you try blasting air through it? or maybe something super penetrant? Don't know if that would f anything up though...
ok mondo...you are officially cursed
and you are also spreading the curse to me
I can't for the life of me remove the pin that holds the rear pads on the brake caliper for my RM125...it's an inset allen screw that is now completely rounded out and non-accessible (since it's inset) for cutting notches into and removing with a slotted screw driver
hahahahahhaha goodluck dude, i hope im not cursed. I mean fuck im learning a TON doing all of this myself....its just taken me a lot longer and cost more than I orgionally planned...AKA i shoulda saved up and bought one that was fine, but then I wouldnt have gained this experience.
where in VT?(edit)craftsbury

im pretty damn sure that was my old bike

Great re-build. I know how it goes with working on stuff an getting delayed. It sucks but the effort you put in now is going to be rewarded later with properly working equipment. Here's to trouble free operation in the not too distant future!
thanks Chris...Ill put up pictures tommorow! I just want to get out there and ride it, but im limited now with a broken leg from a track accident, but i should be fine in about a month..just in time for late fall riding I guess.
Shes all done, just gotta bleed the front brake and work out some tuning issues with the carb. She looks pretty good!
great job Mondo!
the pictures really paint a great picture for us on the forums for all the work that we've been hearing about, so congrats!
and just give you foot some time...you're still relatively young and (theoretically) healthy, so you will heal in good time (...and we'll go on an honorary NESR XR ride)
what about the bike makes you think you need carb work?
