i took the plunge and went 4-stroke in '07, thing is still running like a top! its been super reliable with minimal maintenance.
granted, i'm slow, but i think i've used and abused it pretty good in all sorts of terrain. just keeps on tickin'

ya I must say my crf450 is going good. After 5 race weekends at loudon I checked the valves and they are all within .001 besides one exhaust vavle that was .002" off specs. I just change the oils and oil filter every weekend.

I heard from a reliable source that the 09 KX250F has a trans. problem that has to be updated or it eats itself.
I expect this will come out with some good info.

Gah, I gotta get out to one of these....but crowhill isn't that beginner friendly anymore?
I have never MX'ed, just trails, but think this would be really fun, but don't see my self launching anything more than a table top for my first few hits.
What are the stipulations to go, do you need to be MA registered and full gear? Tether kill switch?
A man of many names...Jay, Gennaro, Gerry, etc.
super friendly track for all skill levels, just be smart and stick your lines.

ya almost any outdoor track is friendly for all skill levels, you just need to control your own throttle
When it gets busy they split it up beginner/int/exp or so
