I'm having an issue where the clutch will not disengage and I can not adjust the cable enough.
The cable is brand new, and even with all the threads showing at the adjuster as well as the perch, it still will not fully disengage the clutch.
Any ideas??
it's a 94 WR250.
Did you put in a new clutch pack too?

Worked fine when I owned it.
Wait a minute.....................you should not have any threads showing at the perch. The threads should all be inside the perch and then when the cable stretches you adjust the adjuster out to make up for the play. You want as few threads showing on each adjuster. The one at the perch and the one at the moutn on the case and the one in the middle of the cable.. When all the threads show you have the adjustment all the way out not in. Call me. You fucked something up. That clutch is new. I put it in.
I will send you monies on friday.
Call me. You wanna ride dirt saturday???

Got a cookout at my house Saturday, will be riding locally in the morning. I'll check it all over again.
And the clutch cable went on way too easily. It's the correct cable, but there is just way too much slack in it.
does it have another adjustment halfway down the cable like the KLX bikes do?
nope, just the adjustment at the perch and then another adjustment about 6 inches from there
I too ordered an a/m cable once - wrong length came in

is it hooked up at the other end or is it just hanging there?
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...

tie a knot in the middle.

haha, well we came up with a solution just short of tieing a knot.
Will find out tomorrow when we go riding
