I'd try it out, but it's mostly going to be for my dirtbikeless friend to ride out in the desert

I used to have a similar 1998 Honda 300EX, and it was a super blast. Pulled my big ass around no problem.

I had an 06 or 07 trx250 years ago. Rode mostly in the woods and some local sand pits. I've submerged it, flipped it, jumped it. Couldn't kill it.

Might feel a little slow in the desert (open country) compared to the woods but you can still keep up with most machines.

nice...sounds like that should be enough

whenever we ride after camping, my friends sleep til noon, ride dehydrated for 1 hour then wanna go home anyways

alternative: $180 for the weekend (splitting with my friend...so my out-of-pocket = $90)



which would ya pick between the 2?

the Honda TRX250 is $250 for the weekend...but I can fit that w' the dirtbike side-by-side

the 400ex has to go on top of the natural gas tanks & the YZ on the MX hauler

I'm partial to the 250 for that reason alone. I used to do the same thing. Buddies dirtbike squeezed next to my trx. No fuss.

No matter what you go with, camping and riding in the desert sounds like a solid weekend
