had fun riding with you guys at Clough summer '15. Melissa is a trooper! crazy that was two years ago in July. EDIT: she totally reminded me of my friend Jill in college. Wisconsin horse people. tough as nails and not afraid of angry beasts or eating dirt
and that reminded me of this CH day few years back. Squirrel/Seth/Paul/me ... i think you may have been there with the CR, no? (Sept '10. shit.)

i know it's hard to see with the earth-toned kit, but you and the bike are in frame.

Yeah, I think I was there. Might of been my first time doing MX. After three laps I pulled off and was like UM WTF? This is so tiring!
I did manage to clear the doubles. But everything else was slow as shit!

Well, those fancy foldable levers didn't fit, so back to Motosport they go.
I'll upgrade to the dandy-man Herbalife pyramid scheme snakeoil fat levers if I hit the lottery, or a tree hard enough to break the stockers.

don't pretend those levers cost a mint. I guarantee you've spent more and done so frivolously in the past.

I actually regret passing that recommendation on to him at this point. They work (well) for me, but whatever.
Get whatever levers you like. It's your ride.
you shouldn't regret it. they are absolutely a superior product.

Priorities. I still have no real dirt riding pants, jacket/jersey, gloves. My boots suck. These are all things that need financial attention before replacing levers that currently work fine.
I'm not downplaying the potential niceness of a really wide clutch engagement zone, but at this point, I'm just hoping to get enough shit together to go out on the bike 5x this summer.

Dude, you asked about levers.
And I got an answer of sweet levers that were nearly 3x the price of the levers I was considering. Don't pretend I'm not a cheap skate.
I'll say they look to be worthwhile. But for that money, I got a lot of other things that need my attention beforehand. They are on the radar now.

The enduro cross training review was thorough. Made me have a somewhat "eh, crap" moment of buyers remorse after I hit buy on the cheaper but bendy levers. Of course that's now a moot point as they don't fit.
These guys seem to know their stuff, reviewed both levers in depth. I think the clutch would be the one to grab first as the benefit is more apparent.

I'll say it again because I have compulsive post disorder; I think bendy levers on a woodsy bike are a waste of time. Invest in handguards (which, IIRC, you have) and be done.
And bling makes people think you know what you're doing.
Clutch is the one to get first. I didn't even know they added a brake lever until recently. That's a new product.
Barry does do a good job. But he likes his bling and then seems to sometimes grow out of it later. I believe his position on the rekluse has changed over time for example.
Yours will too, one you change to a mme clutch lever.

Well I'm convinced, but it'll be a while. In the meantime, I'm going to try to setup an enduro training course in the yard. I sure do have enough rocks, logs, hills and mud.
