More so the bike/s than you................my 4 stroke wasn't the easiest thing to start when it stalled when hot either!

Any ideas on why that bike is so difficult to start? Do the valves need adjusting or anything like that?

Took my CR125 apart today and as expected the piston dome was pretty much gone on the front of the piston by the exhaust ports. Now I need to figure out where to get the cylinder and head checked out to see if they can be fixed up and buy a new piston. Then, the TLC needs to come out for the rest of the bike.

Every bike is a little different to start. I know the Yamaha thumpers I have owned, you couldn't even think about giving it any throttle to restart. The first few kicks I gave Bruce's bike, I didn't give it any gas.. he said maybe give it 1/8-1/4 throttle, and it started right up. My guess is something in the jetting? It also seemed to idle a bit high for a few seconds at restart before slowing down. Bruce, have you checked thumpertalk at all for suggestions?

I havent tinkered with it yet. One weekend I will take it apart and see whats going on.

i had my helmet cam with me but only a goggle strap mount. no good with all the fogging issues i had so i left it in the truck. really need to try a no fog cloth, the micro-fans seems to be more for eyeglass frames

It came from adv I think. And from what I can gather, it's got to do with going to put up a tag, only to see that somebody else had gotten to it moments earlier. Are you a compulsive tagger?

I wanted to follow up on this. After this ride I sent my boots to Alpinestars to get repaired. I got my new ones back this week. They didnt charge me a penny and sent me a brand new pair of Tech 3's to replace my torn up boots that were 3 years old. Excellent customer service and if it wasnt for Clinton I might have just thrown them away and spent another 200 bucks on boots.
