Anyone interested in an easy ride this Saturday or Sunday (Aug 4/5)?
I stress EASY. I'll likely be with Renee and it will be both of our first times back out in the dirt.
I'd prefer Saturday as there are less people out there, but we're flexible.
You should have a MASS off road plate, or a street plate. I say should because there is always the chance you won't get stopped, but you never know.
With 4 days to go, you should be able to grab an offroad plate by then.
can't do Pittsfield but Justin and I will be in Franklin/Wrentham this weekend.![]()

wow, that sucks. guards of both types would have def helped, he rode straight into a rats nest of log. guess that iced DD wasnt as comforting as it could have been. damn. hope he didn't wait long to see a doc and is on the mend quick.

ex-MX... yes. PRO? definitely NO!!!
Renee's bike is only off road legal right now. Now that I'm a bit more confident with the electrical end of things, I will be putting the kit on hers when I get a moment. I already did the tires, so just need the kit and a chain guard and some reflectors.
OK.. tentative plan for Renee and I is SUNDAY at Pittsfield Forest... usual parking area... ready to ride for 10:30.
I'll find the google maps for the "usual area" if you haven't been there and post it up.
We'll be sticking mainly to the fireroads for the first hour or two. After that, we'll probably hit some of the easier trails. If others join us, then we'll make decisions based on the group ability... or we can always split into two groups.
Bring lots of fluids... supposed to be a hot weekend.
yes, corrected post above to reflect that...sorry
I need to get that mass reg, I'm going to be out in the area this weekend too. :-(
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
takes two seconds at pretty much any DMV office. There are other posts floating around about the specific procedures. I know I did it recently with SAX and it was a breeze (even easier if he had a CHECK)

who the hell would have thought that the DMV didn't take CASH??!??!

The Mass. DMV does not register off-road vehicles, the DLE does. The Springfield DLE location just happens to be housed in the same building as the DMV.

Ahhh....thanks for correcting that Chris. I always thought they were in all the DMV's.
Jay... just come out here and do it. No lines...no traffic.
I'll check for the map of the parking area now...
Use Google Maps and type in:
shamrock blvd, pittsfield, ma
The parking area is on the LEFT side, about 1 mile past the little checkin hut.
Remember, ready to ride for 10:30 (so don't be rolling in at that time)

tony what time you heading up there? wanna meet at friendlys in wsfld and ride up? (im guessing on the road at 9)
and.... im in!!
Sure, we can meet up at Friendly's... leave there by 9AM.
Anyone else that's not sure how to get there is welcome to join us. (Exit 3 off Mass Pike... Friendlys is directly ahead when you get off the exit. Meet out back by the ATM "hut".)
exit 3 off the mass pike. You mean like exut 3 way way way west like almost NY state?
KB
Exit 3, the Westfield exit is 4 miles past the exit for RT91 in West Springfield.
The Lee exit is exit 2 and that exit is the exit of which you may be referring to. It's about 25 miles past Exit 3. So, don't miss Exit 3 or you will be driving for a long time before you can turn around.
