This will be our first trip to Crow Hill.
Just got the kids signed up, vaguely considering signing myself up....
Any tips for Crow Hill?
Anyone going?
Weather says 77 and Mostly Cloudy

That's a bummer. Was hoping you would respond with good news about the collar bone. You'll have a great time supporting the kids though so there is that.
Your Whipple show up yet?
I was pretty on the fence, I can ride, and have been riding a lot lately. But while I can ride, I don't think I can eat a good fall, so it's a risk.
I brought up racing last night at dinner and Wife, daughter, and son all said I was crazy. Maybe next season. I'm in garbage shape anyway.
Ill update the collarbone thread!
The Whipple has a 12-14 week lead time, so I'm thinking late September maybe.
RACE REPORT:
Nice cool weather. Moto 1, Pee wee senior, my son had a good run, tried the extreme section the first lap but said it was too much, crashed twice and I helped him back up. He had fun and ended up 12th of 19. It was our first time at Crow Hill and I think most of those kids have run that track a lot.
Moto 2, Girls, daughter had ANOTHER bad start, but headed off while I ran to help her with the extreme section if she needed it. She didn't take it first lap but did second lap and dumped it a few times. She had a bad crash in the woods (on video, it was bad enough that a spectator asked her like 3 times if she was okay). Tough kid though and she jumped back on. When she got back to us her visor was broken and blocking her vision so she ripped it off, luckily we didn't lose the go pro attached to it. Unfortunately, we realized after the race that the transponder is attached to the visor.
Moto 3, daughter had her best start ever and beat the first place mini rider out of the hole which was cool. I ran to the extreme, but I guess she got tangled up with the 1st place girls rider and that girls bike was on top of hers. When daughter got to me, she was very shaken up and thought that girl broke her leg. She did not, and still won the race. Daughter had a few more terrible crashes and pulled off just before the end, bloody and crying.
Its been tough, the GasGas 85 is a LOT of bike and she is fearless and is just yeeting herself at everything. I watched the footage of her first moto, and she pretty easily passed the first place rider. She's big for 13 at 5'7", and she rides fast. If she can stop violently crashing, and get more good starts, she has the potential to do well in her class. Another thing, is after she crashes, her bike doesnt want to start. Any thoughts?
Killed me to not ride, Crow Hill looked AWESOME, both kids agreed that it was one of their favorite tracks.
On the way home we had a serious family discussion.....
We have been talking about it for a while now, and while we try to do a big vacation every year, next year we won't. Instead we will attempt what we have been talking about, and that is the three of us race every single Jday event.
Kids will be ready, I need to get in shape BAD though. I hope I can she some pounds and get my cardio there, as well as the collarbone and now the right knee.

I almost went, but had other obligations.
Sucks about all the crashes, but glad she is okay.
I always enjoyed the crow hill rounds. They use almost the whole mx track and I always thought the extreme section was one of the easier ones in the series.
The woods can be hard, especially with the roots. They use to have an uphill section that was brutal, but I think they made that part of the pro lap a year or two ago.
