Follow-up: i do not recommend the G2 nylon inserts ... they made my bars more buzzy and one is stripped already. in the trash they go.
trying the Fastway metal inserts next

Interesting, that doesn't match my experience at all with those?
i removed them for Southwick, run Boano plugs for MX, went to reinstall and throttle side gave me trouble ... the inner bolt just shredded the threads when i backed it out to reset. no major force was used. i had hoped these would be reusable when i swap from wrap-arounds to plugs but no such dice.
the tap worked fine but the nylon wasn't very tight, which caused the vibes. i tried teflon tape to fill up some of the space, even less dice.
oh, well. Fastways should be here this week.
