So I decided to do a WSP night supercross race yesterday (Saturday 6/5/10) kinda last minute. My ankle is still a POS but it feels ok riding so might as well start back up.
The track this year is pretty rad and flows much better than last year. Practice blew and was so congested that I could hardly hit some doubles. Since it is my first race this year I had last gate pic for my 1st motos.
Moto1 30+C: took an inside gate as to not get pushed out and holeshot the race. Ended up leading the entire race and won by a good amount.
Best Lap: 54.89 (was psyched on this cuz I checked and it would have been 2nd best in B class)
Moto1 450C: Again used my last gate pic to line up far inside. Holeshot again and led the entire race for another win.
Best Lap: 53.73
Moto2 30+C: Got a good start, close to holeshot but surrounded by a few bikes. One bumped me and I locked up my rear I think and stalled my bike. Took a few kicks to start it up and I was off, close to last place. Ended up picking through the field and with I think 2 laps to go I was in 5th. Picked through the top 4 and passed the leader to take the win 2 turns from the finish. I had my GoPro camera on for this run so at least it was an interesting one haha, should have video up soon.
Best Lap: 54.3
Moto2 450C: Kinda wheelied and got a crappy start. Got bumped in turn one and had to stay up, was outside the top 10. Then got bumped real bad later in lap 1 and took all I had to not wreck. Ended up fighting up to 4th place and 3rd place was a roadblock so I hit the checkers right on his rear fender.
Best Lap: 53.8
Pretty fun day and there is another night sx next week I might head up for.

Nice job. I would like to make it to one of there MX events this year. I don't think I am ready for a SX race. I am going to try Rider Hill for my first race in a couple of weeks.
I had never heard of this place before. I need to take a ride down and check it out sometime.

Awesome job Seth. On a broken leg too.
I've ridden the SX track on a mini, can't imagine it on a full size bike, yee-haw!
Sick dude! Nice work and I look forward to seeing the video and what the WSP SX track looks like this year. Man this report makes me jazzed up to ride again. Gotta fix my 250F. Had so much fun at that last race last year when you and I ripped through the pack together. So fun.

Do work man! Sick vid, way to come back from the back of the pack! you'd have been flat out killin it if you didn't stall. That vid made me want to ride my dirt bike.
yea dude sick vid! took you a few laps to get into the rhythm but once you did it was gravy. I like the look of the 2010 track way better than the 2009 track!! Way more cool jumps. Maaaaan shoot. I like the jumps... especially in C class
Do work son.
Boston --> San Diego
What make that a SX course? The jumps look good but not huge and not nearly as many as I would thinkk a SX track would have. It might just be the video that makes it that way.
ya its toned down from like ama pro supercross but it is a tight track with some tight jumps. They don't want anything local kids will be dying on aha. Some of the jumps are tight with short run ups so I guess the vid is not all that great at portraying that. Most of the jumps def. look smaller on video as well. There is only one jump I would consider big but the rest are pretty fun

for example, the doubles after the left hander at 1:45 in the vid, I couldn't hit the first few laps cuz I wold have rear ended a guy and then there was yellow flag but normall to jump it out of the inside line I would have to seat bounce it and a good amount of dudes wrecked over there. Also there is a triple leading into that corner which I didn't do which is pretty gnarly, alot longer than it looks and you have to instantly brake to make the left hander.

Can you compare the jumps at Winchester to MX207?
