Good Morning.
Just to let you know, LIN GARDEN was closed, it's now RE-OPEN Under a different name. I am not sure about the Management. Looking forward to making more than my once a year visit to have dinner with yous guys. I wont be at opening night of MCN this year so I'll see you on the 27th.

I thought this thread would be about a Chinese manufactured-only bike night.

Me too, Sheppo! Will be in Nebraska/Missouri all next week, but not traveling the week after!! Hoping I can make it to a few more of these this year.
Robin, our perky little waitress won't be there. She was not hired back. Linda is back. But yet it's all hearsay. Tuesday we find out.
Uh, I mean... shucks

You never did like her. We'll have to see if we have the liberties we had before like helping ourselves to the pineapple and hot mustard and duck sauce and cookies and napkins and tea and.... Oh yes tooth picks
I DID like her....
Then one night a few years ago I got to see her unfiltered reaction as she saw us walking in... She had a big smile on her face as she was walking out of the bar towards the front door and when she saw us her face DROPPED. She turned away (slightly), made a disgusted face and muttered an explitive... that whole night she gave us sub-par service. Wrong/missed orders, slow response, and treated us like crap but disguised it (poorly) as ball busting... I watched her body language like a hawk that night & it didn't lie. I knew exactly how she really felt about us being there.
She made a LOT of money off of us over the years. 50, 100 bucks or more straight into her pockets every night we went. We treated her well in that regard. As someone who did her job for many years myself, to be THAT thankless and THAT transparent about it... it really rubbed me the wrong way.
She won me back a little bit over time, but every time I walked in there I could see her reaction to seeing us walk in that night in my head.

That's probably why new owner no hire. Linda knows us, we'll be fine I'm sure. And if not then we'll go to that other place we went to one time when the Garden was closed for a couple of weeks. I'm not fussy.
Is there any rule that the food always be (bad) chinese?
Welcome, to the
Hey.. I got what I wanted.![]()
Lin Garden was picked by a few NESRians on a night when the rain sent everyone scrambling. Cheese was one of the three that started the tradition.
lin garden was great.
yujo (the new place) sucks major ass. i live literally right across the street. gave them several chances now, and they are shit. go somewhere else. (this assumes you're talking about lin garden on the river in dracut).
Whats Chinese cheese called?
I'm thinking I'll be there on the Scoot. (Doug - are scooters allowed by the flag pole? Is there a discount for?)

Not sure what waitress you're talking about, but based on my 3 visits since grand opening, there was one waitress only. This is prime dinner time as well. Many of my friends (I'm a Dracut native) have had the same problem and that is, terrible service... Grand opening night my wife and I and the kiddo went there and waited 10 minutes to be greeted, 20 minutes for a waitress to take our order, and after an additional 20 minutes of nothing, we left.
Second visit was one waitress working her ass off. Took a long time for the order, but not nearly as long as on Grand opening night. Food was not great, and certainly not as good as Lin garden was. The main tais were terrible. Third time again was a long time to be seated, one waitress who botched the order up, and it took so long to get a drink that I ended up stopping at the liquor store down the street and bought mai Tai mix.
Can't Imagine it's the same owner. It's a shame, we used to go to Lin garden all the time and we were pumped when it was opening under a different name. At first we thought it was just a remodel. Overall it has been half-assed. Maybe they'll be better now, but if you guys want an alternative option just in case, there's a place in lowell just past bridge St on Lakeview Ave called foodie goodie. All you can eat Chinese food and sushi. Their food and service is fantastic.
Any Paleo friendly places around MCN?? LOL
I say we try Foody Goody as recommended by riderman. Chinese AND Sushi....
