You can do that with your outside foot, but the inside foot needs to be tucked way up and in to get any real lean on.
I was just bustin ya about the fast thing
Kham, You're 99 percent likely to NOT need rearsets. People drag in the bowl from lazy turn ins and late throttle application like Pete said. Correct those and you'll have lean angle to burn. Suspension issues are exaggerated by poor technique and make things worse, but they are not the cure.
im glad to hear i dont need new one. hmm... come to think of it i did lazy turn al the time.it's hard to control the big bike. chain was loose. ok i have some work to do. thanks very much good sir.
"fuckit!"
a loose chain is a happy chain. As long as it's not jumping teeth and there's not a HUGE amount of slop, it's better to be too loose than too tight.

ok, these are the boys who taught me out in Washington State. Look closely of the foot position. Their feet are right at the end of the peg. Rotating a bit around it. There is NO way that taking corners like this, that the end of the peg is gunna scrape. If anything, their Sidi boots will first...

If all else fails, Lean more....
and I'm sure they've also got rearsets
Like I said, get your foot up, back & tucked against the frame as much as possible without being too uncomfortable.

i tighten it couple weeks ago before the ~300 mile ride last weekend and it came loose again. good amount of slop compare to other bike there. just not helping with smoothness i think. not a problem when on the gas but sometimes you know.... it's a stock chain with over 30k miles. i'll be ordering a new one soon.

Well, the guys who taught you aren't leaning over all that far in the pics. As soon as you toe hits, you need a different foot position. My racebike had some of the highest pegs around and I still had to force my foot as far on top of the peg as I could in some corners. Obviously, if clearance isn't an issue, then you can be a little more lax about it.

Bottom line. It is not the bike.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
yes, they prolly do have aftermarket rearsets. And it also prolly depends on what style of bike you ride. Not all bikes are made to lay over as far as some of the others without clearance peg issues.
If all else fails, Lean more....
yeah yea i know it's all about rider but im not talking about being smooth. i have ridden 07 08 bikes and man what a big difference compare to my 04. i just thought when your off the throttle and on again the loose chain doesn't help? who was it that post about how smooth it is after replacing the chain? stoinky?
"fuckit!"
will you stop making excuses!! lol, J/K
If all else fails, Lean more....
well if it needs replacing then it needs replacing... making it tighter shouldn't be your band-aid fix, it'll just fuck you even more in the long run.

not tighter. what ever is the proper adjustment. i thought it might help so i dont have to work as hard at being smooth?i mean if the thing drives itself, what else you gotta do?

If you need to adjust your chain after 300 miles, that could suggest a worn chain. If it happens repeatedly, I'd expect the chain to be en route to failure. Replace it before that failure happens while you're riding.
On the original subject, I destroyed a pair of toe sliders at the last NJ days by dragging toes and pegs too much. I did work on body position more and found that I could ride faster with less dragging (of both pegs and toe sliders).
Kham, you need a new chain. It's too loose in that pic. You got your moneys worth out of it already. And you don't need new rearsets. My bike has stock rearsets ( aftermarket footpegs tho ). I touched 'em a couple times before in T1 and maybe T6. But it's not a problem anymore as I learned body positioning ( and still learning ).
BTW, my 10 doesn't feel any different from 636 I had before in terms of flicking it side to side or throwing it in a turn. Could be tire profile and suspension maybe?

Kham you cheap fuck, that chain looks like it's about to take out your engine case.

That chain is gonna jump teeth. Also appears to be covered in rust, you need to clean/wax the next one more often.

Yeah, me.
believe it or not it's the 4th time i think, lost count, i tighten it and it would come loose at next ride. thanks for all the input.
