I ended up not signing up for Fishtail today given the cooler than average temps, but I noticed that it is supposed to be in the 20's at night.
Not sure what that means for those that have water in the bike.....just thought I'd mention it in case its bad.

Whenever it gets below 35 degrees outside I've been putting a cover over the race bike in the trailer and leaving a 75 watt lightbulb going under the bike all night long. It probably wouldn't help much below 25 degrees but it should keep things from freezing until that point.

are the garages heated?
I suppose if I get there on Tues. night I can get the bike into the garage and button up before it gets too cold.
No sleeping in the garages.

The water in your engines won't freeze from a night in the 20's.

You sure bout that Bergs? It needs to drop to 20's to freeze water in engine? I'm watching this damn weather and it makes me all worried bout freezing water in engine cooling system. Tho Boston probably doesn't get lower than mid 30's these nights...Still makes me all worried.

Story time. Last December I was bringing my bike home in an open landscape trailer, just under a 2 hour ride. It was pretty cold, in the mid teens I think. About half way home I remembered I had water-only in the bike. As soon as I got home i opened up the pipes and a fairly thick slush came out, almost to the point of plugging up the system. I was squeezing the hoses to pump the stuff out. I immediately flushed the system w/ warm water and I thankfully didn't have any problems (no burst rad or pipes, etc...)
I assume given a little more time it would have frozen solid.
Yes, obviously my scenario was fairly cold and the wind would help cool quickly. But this happened all just under 2 hrs. Bike was in a garage/shop that day so I'd guess it was probably around 55* or so when I picked it up.
