Brian... if you think you're being humble, then I dont think you know what humble truly is.
Its one thing to SAY 'i need to get better' etc, and its another thing to believe/mean it.
The way you say (write) things comes off as cocky and thus, nullifies any belief that you really do thing you're a novice racer (novie racer... not novice rider). Simply saying it, in the middle of an otherwise brag-filled post isnt going to make people take you seriously.
Its like this constant argument between my wife and I about her needing to learn how to drive a manual transmission car... My wife will out of nowhere ask: 'Do you want to go teach me how to drive your car?' right as Im about to go away for a weekend or the weather is terrible, etc. Basically, there is no way that at that moment in time, that I will say yes. She KNOWS that my answer will be 'No' and is only asking because she knows thats what the answer will be... but she thinks that she will get 'credit for asking'. This is not the case... you dont get credit simple because you asked, when the underlying truth is that you dont mean it.
edit: i had started typing prior to your last post. that last one is more on the right track

so, Brian, how long do you think it'll take you to be doing fast expert times?
Chuck, you're late to the party.

I did 140 on the straight... in the dry... and I don't think I made it past the start finish straight before I got out of the gas.

I'm new to this forum and I have to say I'm astounded at the tolerance of these folks. Any other forum I've been on would have at least thrown out the word "noob" once in these 8 pages.
The fact is this...You're a cocky, arrogant asshole. What you should have done to save space on the NESR database is title this thread "upcoming douche bag" and in the post, just explain who you are, how you can be identified and why people won't like you. I realize it would have taken the fun out of it, but that's basically what you've done here...
A wise thing to do would be to never tell anyone who you are in person. Unless this is just an epic end-season troll-fest I can't see how anyone would welcome your presence.
That being said, I just finished my first 2 track days today with TTD. At the end of my last session I really felt like I was flying and I was doing a 48. This was with a stock ER-6n (naked 650r) and no track or stupid street riding experience. The amount of things discussed and the obvious vast skills to still be learned (let alone mastered) was, in a word, overwhelming. Point being; for anyone to come onto a forum and, without having met the members discussing the posted topic, claim the things you have could only mean one thing... you have very few friends that like you, never were good with girls, and love attention(even negative) because you're otherwise the kid no one wanted to sit with at lunch in high school...sound about right?

Darling Brian,
I just wanted to communicate to you that I am supportive of your dreams and aspirations and sincerely hope that you succeed in reaching your goals. The track is a wonderful/addictive place with the best community of folks you could ever hope for. Now, with that being said, you talk more than a damn woman. Could you please stop running your mouth and go make me a sandwich?![]()

I've been told that if I start racing next year I'd win my rookie race. I'm gonna do it slap down times that would all you experts weep. Hell Doc even said he had trouble keeping up and passing me last week, I must be fucking fast as hell.
