When I've stayed at local hotels down there, I've usually stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Vineland. About 20 minutes from the track heading the right way to come home. Good parking, clean rooms, pool and hot tub.
Lauren - would ya mind bringing my suit down to NJ w/ you so I can save a trip to Boston this week?![]()
IN! First trip to NJMP this year.

After all the trials and tribulations dealt with getting down there (flat on the truck, dropped the hose of the gas can in the tank of my bike, then flat on the trailer) I can say it was well worth it to ride Thunderbolt. What a fun track! It really has a nice flow to it, and I look forward to getting down there again. Dinner was great, and it was really cool to watch the MotoGP races after.
I have also never seen so many gals (and fast!) at any other track day. That was pretty cool. I made it back to NH about 2:30 this am after driving straight through, it was hell but I couldn't drive back during the day in this heat with no AC in the truck, the puppy would have melted.
So nice to hang out with you finally Jane! It was nice to meet many more folks, and hang out with the usual supects too. Thanks for your help Pete and Nick, and Steve for the trailer to make it down there![]()
nice riding with you Femmekat!! Had a great time too. Very fast track..
you ain't kidding about the flies and other bugs. I killed one with my shoulder, left like a 3 inch circle of yellow nastiness.
I had a good time even with getting sick on Monday night and "refunding" my dinner. which was really good on the way down, but not on the way up.
really liked the little classroom discussions we had every so often.

I don't know how you kept going out... I reached that point where I was just done and had to call it quits.
I hope to apply the flow found at Thunderbolt to riding Loudon, I feel like my experience in NJ will help me ride better up here as well, now that I know what it feels like to have that rythm.![]()
Yeah, my legs gave out about mid day on Tuesday. I was in the long left hander just before the front straight and my left leg kept cramping up.
Hmmm.... I didn't drink any Pedialyte on Tuesday.... wonder if there's a connection?
Finally made it to Thunderbolt, and gotta say that is a fun track and in same time is fast, the two(fast and fun) must be somehow related, is fast at least compared to NHMS, and now I see why they say NHMS is technical, can't wait to go back and can't stop thinking about sections where I can improve
was nice meeting a few people and seeing/riding with you guys
thanks to TTD for another great event
Yeah...doing both tracks really helps. I found my right turns at Loudon immediately improved after riding T-Bolt.
Couple of photos from yesterday.. Very disappointed in my body position (read- got to drop my inside shoulder). Not sure if it was the heat or it being the first time in Jersey but the photos that I got show the clear areas of needed improvement... These are the "best" photos I got.....

not just the shoulder, you need to drop the whole upper body, and no a different bike isn't gonna change your body position, well - a little, but not as much as you think, do you have stands? you dont necessarily have to be riding on the track to practice body position - in the garage works too![]()
Thanks dude- I figure shoulder first, then the rest will follow.
I have never tried practicing body position in my garage- will do that in preparation for NHMS in October!!!
