The key is to force yourself to relax. All these years and I still find myself tense sometimes. Start at the neck or the hands... but connect the dots somehow so the upper body goes limp.
spend a session or even a whole day just working on body position. don't try to pick up any speed anywhere, just do body position. you wanna focus on one aspect of riding at a time. once the body position becomes natural you can focus on all the other stuff.
still wasn't feeling 100% on Tuesday so in my first couple sessions I just tried to relax and take it easy. I probably ran the same pace as Monday but with less effort. I still fight with letting go of that tension. Usually I realize I'm tense midcorner and I force myself to loosen up and then have to stop the bike from leaning more.

Any of the TTD instructors will be happy to help you with this in the garage in October. Come ask me first and I will help you myself if I have time. If I can't do it, then I will find one of our most competent instructors to help you out.
Good times, great 2 days of riding. Tony, thanks for the tip on T5 and T7. I tried your advise next session after we spoke, worked really good. I could carry a LOT more speed through those turns. Now I know what you meant by "I'm gaining a whole second on you in each of that section"

Great two days except for the one nasty event. Mike, Kina, Lauren - great meeting you all. Hope to see you at the track again sometime.
Had a blast guys, feel like I got some of my fast back. Had a blast chasing a certain green Kawi around for a few sessions....
Thanks to Tony and his staff for all the fun and a very well run 2 days.

2 more in Jersey.... (checks calendar)
I would love me some more Jersey!
Sounded like and awesome time. I'm making the next one when we are gong to be on 2 tracks. Thunderbolt one day and Lightning the next. + it is a Sunday/ Monday gig. Ohh Yea..
Body positioning is my specialty.... Sounded like Pete picked it up in my absence. I think I need some tips from that fast demon now!
"Loose" is fast, and "on the edge" is out of control.

I always feel like I ride so much better when I am chasing a faster rider.... especially when they have red jerseys over their leathers....
Tbolt racing g on speed right now
Eslick is one aggressive rider.... now I realize how slow I REALLY am!
Great racing! 13 seconds faster than me.![]()
