wiat? not riding? that's silly.

"fuckit!"
Just keep in mind that if they (the manufacturer) tell you "not to ride the bike due to a defect", they are more than likely legally covering thier A$$ if you continue to ride after being told not to and something happens.Originally posted by Kham

Double"D" is more worried about being there for our two kids than missing a little riding time. I prefer to error on the side of caution with this one.

I love these, but not made for my bike YET. And too easy to damage.Originally posted by legalspeed

I'll ask about lending me a bike, but most likely they won't.

I rode a 600 for fifteen years. Nothing against them, they’re great… but I didn’t want another 600.
Any new bike (or car) can get recalled, and is expected. I worked at a new car dealership for 10 years, and we always had recalls on new models.

lets see if i can explain this.
you said you'r concern about you'r two kids.
i was thinking why your wife rides a 1000cc and thought why dont you get her a smaller cc because it's safer? that was all. isn't that how things are after all?
seems everyone gave me crap about going from 600 to 1000cc before and now you seem to say it makes no different.
you know what wife or not no more fuckin joke for me.
this is it. at this point i really dont give a fuck. go ahead stoop down to my level and give me crap.
some of you knows i mean well.
i think it's time for a new hobby.
"fuckit!"
someone tell me why it's so wrong from my explanation above. i thought you were all cool. seems i'v made a mistake. this isn't an NESR family.
fuck this crap.

What does motor size have to do with a defect in the manufacture of a wheel????
Double "D" has nearly 20 yrs riding experience with 1 crash, and by your own statements in this forum you have not been riding that long (couple yrs) if I remember correctly and have had multiple crashes along with other bad luck with bikes. No-one here to my knowledge would recommend a new liter bike to some-one relativley new to the sport, which at the time would have been yourself and others that were looking for advice on buying a bike.
Also as you can see this is a family and people stepped up for something that was said that they didn't think was right. As I have seen others do for you... Maybe you meant well, but just need to change the way you say things.....
Peace...

just means you'r on the caution side. for me i would keep riding till the wheel falls off.
please stop with so many yrs riding experience.Originally posted by Rice-rocket1

since last yr i was NOT seeking an advice. i was SHARING which liter bike i want to get and you all jump at me which i dont mind. you just dont wanna me contribute to the high insurance rate when i crash. isnt' that a fact.
this is a family which i am NOT part of.Originally posted by Rice-rocket1

please dont lecture me.

I think what Kham meant, was....If your reason for not riding until the wheel is replaced, is a decision based upon a safety concern and being there for the kids....Why wouldn't that logic have come into play before purchasing a ZX10R, and gone with another 600 instead.
Maybe not so obviously put into words, from him..But that's what I am getting from what i've read here.
Nothing offensive if you ask me.......and even if you don't ask me.
