either my bike is fucked up or the dyno is bullshit.
hp = (t*rpm)/5252
t = (hp*5252) / rpm
Using that chart above we approximatly get the following:
70tq @ 8600 = 114hp @ 8600rpm
We will ASSUME that your peak torque also occurs at 114hp. According to your graph that happens at 102mph.
Assuming the graph is 4th gear; 102mph = 8012rpm
I DL'd a gear speed/rpm calculator and used the stock sprockets, and tranny gear ratios
114hp and 8012rpm is what we needed:
T = 8012 / (114*5252)
At 8012RPM you are making 74.72 Tq
Its NOT physically possible for it to only make 40ftlbs if you are making 114hp at that speed/rpm.
Eg 2;
5252rpm is about 68mph going by the calculator, and thats about 64hp according to your chart. There HAS to be 64 Tq there.

Print out what I did and show him, if you show up on the 1st, and they arent strapped for time, they may let you throw it on for free so you can get a good graph. You did pay for it after all.

Relax Kham. As I said, I'm not trying to bust your balls. You have wunna the most powerful (EVER) production bikes on the planet. I don't understand why you're so concerned about what some dynometer has to say...
If it's the piece of paper you want in your pocket to show people, just tear an article outta wunna the moto rags to show...
Now if you're concerned because you're interested in getting a Power Commander and dialing your bike in for OPTIMAL performance at all RPM's (READ: NOT higher HP numbers), I can see your concern...
It's pretty obvious to everyone that's replied to this thread that their dyno was a bit off on the tourque numbers. There's even been a scientific explanation for it!
Again, anybody who knows anything about motorcyles KNOWS what the numbers are for that beast...
Personally, I could give a shit either. Just wondering why it's such a concern of yours that THEIR numbers were off. You KNOW what the bike is and is capable of...

Oh, FYI: Usually these 'travelling dyno HP shootouts' are meant to measure HP only anyways. If you were paying a shop their going rate for a 'dyno tune', THEN I'd be concerned. But to do so, you're usually looking at considerable time on the dyno...
And Dynojet will NOT sell their dynometer to ANYONE unless they've been certified through THEM...![]()

Kham If this means anything to you my bike got dynoed on the same dyno as yours did and mine came in 16 LESS horse power then the previous 2 dyno runs at other locations...I'm going out on a limb here...... BUT.....I think the dyno numbers are low on that dyno machine on purpose.....I think its a ploy to get all the horse power junkies to spend money at there shop because they have to have 160rwhp because thats what the bike is supposed to have. "Wow your pipe & jetted R1 only makes 130.68 rwhp your jetting must be off" Hmmmmm fishy.........just made 146 the other week and there is no stumbles.....hmmmmmm![]()

The HP curve is fine, and its just a matter of getting the Tq out of it. If he says the bike only makes 40ftlbs, period, no matter what. Then he just started breaking laws of physics. World is ending, game over. BAM.
