Looks like a nice bike. If you have the cash I would sure by myself something if I were coming out of the military. Whats the MSRP on one of those?
My thought is you better buy that goddamned bike. Looks dead sexy in white. And that MSRP is lower than I thought it'd be.
Are you asking because you had other options in mind, or is this just a singular desire?

F3 v Daytona
Well its funny, two different bikes or extremes you might say...I was thinking about getting a used 1198 or even possibly an 848 but there's just something about this bike that I cant shake. I was going to buy just another R1 or GSXR but decided a bike like the F3 would be a better present/investment.
The bike hits dealers this month and I am hoping by the time I get outta Afghanistan and back to the states (June); someone will have bought one and put a few miles on it to drop the price a little and not pay for crate fees/set up haha. I doubt this will happen though.
I was just looking at the F4 RRthen I seen the msrp

I love me anything a lil' diffrn't. Loved my Daytona. I think MV's are sex on wheels.
You got a good dealership to do service? Parts? turn around times? If this is your OTHER bike, or 3rd, YES. If she'll be your only ride, it would suck getting home and being yoinked from riding because you're waiting on a left handed widget gasket for 2 months from Italy.
If you pull the trigger, take a bunch of pictures with your sexy girlfriend sprawled all over it and post up!
Glad you're not the 99%, come home, wear wife beater and jordans down to dealership, buy GSXR1000, cheapest helmet in store, ya know, real bugs in your teeth, brain bucket type, no gloves, go out and red line her to your death 2 blocks away. Think there's 147 videos of that on YouTube.
Let us know what you do Dude! Hey, thanks for keeping us all free, appreciate it, I owe you one.

I personally prefer the Brutale more, being naked. But that Italian triple will be awesome either way!
DOOOOO EEEEEET!
Well I am currently stationed out of TX (Have lived there for the past 6 going on 7 years) while in the Army..There are 3 MV Agusta dealers within 2 hours hours of me, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio. From what I read on the MV Agusta forum San Antonio seems to be a great dealership based on what people said others say Dallas but anways they are around me.
I've owned a little bit of everything over the last 10 years of riding street bikes, but have never owned a brand new bike before...Figured since I am at a point in life where I can pay cash for it I might as well treat myself. This will be my only motorcycle, I will be living with 3 other guys who all ride street bikes as well. If for some reason I have to wait on a widget of some sort its easy to hop on my buddies bike to get my fix.

I love that red/grey color scheme. Any chance you could pony up the extra change for an 1199?

That's a bargain at 13.5k. I'd do it.
Do it, Spence. Then get your ass up for a weekend. But don't think for a minute you're buying a bike as an 'investment'. Motorcycles aren't investments...
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
I have been eying MV's for a few years, ever since that special edition one came out in 2008??, listed for around $120k....
that's amazing to see they finally made something in the same price range and performance category as my Triumph!!
obviously you've already justified spending that much; so i say fuck yeah get it!!

awesome bike. i would get one if i have the spar cash. from what i understand though there are not a ton being made. i know that the only local mv dealer cycles128 said that all there f4's were sold before they got them and i think only 1 f3 wasnt already spoken for. so if your going to do it i would get a down payment down.

It's a beautiful bike for sure. But if you were thinking of actually riding it and having a good time, I would suggest going with the idea of a used 1198 or 848 like you said. Ducatis may not have that many dealers around, but they certainly have more than MV does. And you WILL need maintenance and parts.
However, on the flip side, exotic is exotic. Just remember, if it doesn't have a passenger seat, you can't bring home the girlies on it! LOL!
