some clueless dipshit in a red first-gen ford focus at the stop lights getting on to the far end of storrow... it was a hefty clout, but i think he just blasted the tire at like 8mph.
so i'm slowing to stop for the light where those like 5 roads all merge at the end of storrow drive, and pull up to the light. i check my mirrors and see some guy slowing down and coming to a stop behind me. he turns on his dome light, so i go back to watching for the green light. 10 sec later, the bike lurches forward and i think what in the fuck was that, so i turn around and see this clown this with his fucking hands up in apology, holding a CD in one of them.
pay fucking attention, buttmunch. my motorcycle is more important than listening to your fucking CD.
thankfully he was probably only idling (6-7mph), and my rear tire seemed to take the brunt of it like a champ.
anyways, folks, just a reminder from your friendly neighborhood spicy: always keep an eye on your mirrors, and even stopped people can still shizblast you.
hurray, strikethrough!

did u exchange paper work anyways? It'd be best to get it checked out by gmd anyways and charge his insurance. I wouldn't bother being a nice guy and saying forget about it, that isn't an accident whens he is looking for a cd, that's negligence.
been there done that.
"fuckit!"
i probably should've, but i opted not to, figuring a few mph isn't going to do too much, and getting blasted by some drunk fuck while exchanging info over some super light impact would be a lousy way to end my day... that's a bad intersection
i'd've been more worried if i'd had the brakes on fully, cuz i'm sure most of the energy was dissipated by accelerating me, instead of being spent going into bending my rim

Same thing happened to me about 2 months ago in Dorchester.
The guy was stopped but thought the left turn green light
was his light to go straight! He must have got on it pretty hard
cuz he hit me pretty good with only about 6 feet to pick up speed.
His car got stuck between my rear tire and my subframe/seat.
I was almost ready to settle with him over the phone, thinking
all he did was bend my license plate...
Good I didn't settle. A couple days later I see a puddle of
shock oil under my bike in my garage. Guess he hyperextended my
rear shock and broke a seal on it. Oh well bye bye Showa

If you run into a wall with a helmet on, you still ran into a wall.
yea Jesse said you had a difficulty with that. At least it wasn't at speed and you and the bike are ok (presumably) Hopefully the ride was at least amusing?
PS... excellent description of the events

the rim isnt your issue. you should be concerned about the tire. M/C tire arent like car tires. he couldve broken a chord in the tire.
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...

Man that blows. This kind of shit seems to be happening more often all of a sudden.
My father had the same thing happen to him last week in downtoan Milford, NH. Guy in a jeep "thought he went" at a stop sign and tagged him on the rear tire of his bright orange Z1000. WTF?
A cop witnessed the accident, and while there was no damages he got everyones info.
At least you weren't rear-ended by a priest (sorry Akira)
