Need advice, should I drop it off at a shop for them to fully inspect my bike and have the adjuster go there or should I have adjuster come to the house and just look the bike over. You guys been around bikes longer then me so could it possible be any frame damage or anything serious from a drop like this?
Came out to see this at lunch today
broken mirror, bar end took most of the hit so I am hoping my steering isn't messed up, didn't look over the tank yet
I did find an insurance card on my cover so am hoping that it is the person responsible for it.![]()

Damn.
Accidents happen, and if they left a card they are better than 90%
looks like that class will be more helpful and needed than I imagined. And I agree about the card and hoping it will lead to the person responsible for it. Accidents do happen. I parked there at least once a week with 0 issues and always leave more than enough room, even for an f350.
One of my new neighbors did exactly that with his pickup truck. Scuffed my frame slider, broke a bar end mirror, and tore my cover.
BUT, he picked it back up, left a note and even came out while I was gearing up to say it was him.
I didn't even bother calling him back for the $140 for a new mirror and cover. He very easily could have said he saw it blown over in the rain storm.
What's the difference between a bolt and a screw?
First you screw, then you bolt.
That sucks balls but the card is pretty unbelievable! Slightly ot but I've always wondered who the genius is that picked out the color scheme on those covers.

this is where I park when I ride into work. Rode it home and steering is def off, not sure if it's just the handlebar that is bent since you can see it with a naked eye that it is crooked. Does oil/fuel get into places that it shouldn't when the bike is laid down like, I know some fuel leaked out thru the vent pipe.
Yes, yes it does. I had an issue with oil and fuel in my airbox after I dropped my Gsxr like an idiot.
Man... that SUCKS. +1 for the guy leaving a card. Anyone who has hit me has never left a card on my car. Back when my ford excape was brand new, someone left a huge gouge in the driver side door, and just drove off. Gouge is still there because im too poor to fix it with the car payments
Back when I lived in seattle, I was a party with my friend who had an old CBR1100. Later into the party, we found the bike up pushed over and up against the rock wall on the sidewalk. Left a huge dent in his gas tank and such. People suck
First bike I got in Boston was a KLR650, because we lived on a hill and I expected it might get knocked over - and it did, three times in three weeks. First by a sweet little old lady who apologized and offered to pay for any damages. then an unknown person, and finally by a neighbor kid who came home at 2am on a Sunday night and nailed it.
I went out and the little F'er wouldn't identify himself. So my wife called the cops. I explained that he'd backed into the bike, wouldn't identify himself, and had possibly been operating under the influence. He then became remarkably cooperative. The only damage to the bike was the EZPass - $25. He said he'd pay me, then decided he would not.
It just so happens that I had a snow thrower. I used to do the sidewalks in the neighborhood, old peoples houses, etc. And every time it snowed, I would absolutely BURY his Mitsubishi Flatlander with it. He would shovel it out, and on my next pass through the neighborhood I would blast it back into the space. I probably did this to him half a dozen times. Not only that, I told all the neighbors what I was doing and why, and they started helping! They'd bury his car or remove his "space saver" when he left. I don't think he ever figured out what was happening.
Last year before we moved I had on of the T "The Ride" vans knock over the V-Strom. He immediately took off. Another van showed up two minutes later and professed not to know anything about the first driver. Those vans have cameras front and rear, so by switching their routes, the vehicle that did the pickup didn't have anything on the camera - and the guilty driver was on another route. Weasels. But the V-Strom was unharmed as well: if there is ever a nuclear holocaust, all that will be left working after it is cockroaches, Cher, and V-Stroms.![]()

“It's 2 minutes for any capable adult.”
also glad to see they left a card!
I've had cars and bikes hit while parked...most of the time they leave with no note or anything...even had a woman leave a note once because a witness flagged her down, but that was still an ordeal to finish.
