Here it is folks the progress build of my Turbo Busa! Should have made this thread a long time ago but never got around to it.
Bought my 03 Hayabusa bone stock with 6k on the clock from a dealer in mass about a year ago now. Never sat on one, never rode one, just loved the look, style, and power of a busa. When I walked into the dealer that day it was my first time ever sitting on one! I fell and love and to this day its been the best purchase I have made in a long time.
I owned a CBR 600 before the Busa but I just wanted bigger. Rode the Busa all summer with a few mods and then the idea of a turbo busa came about and land speed also came to mind. I had gone 10.9 on the busa in stock form on my first pass ever on a motorcycle and took it as a sign. I had been trying to go 10's in my DSM for 6+ years and here I go 10.9 first time ever going down the track on a bike! It was time to change...
I finished out the year with a best of a 10.4 in the stock form and the transformation began shortly after the season closed. I tossed around the idea of selling my current race car in order to fund the turbo build which would be nothing short of expensive! I had a long talk with my main sponsor/builder in Maine and we decided it was time to move out of the turbo DSM world and into the turbo busa world.
To make a long story short my sponsor/builder took in trade my old race car for Paint/Powder coating/ Engine build. Paint and powder coating came out perfect but I got burned on the Engine part. Long story there...
The way I met the main builder/sponsor was through one of the local forums and I just happened to look at his location and turned out he was right in fall river! He has built many Turbo bikes and multiple fast cars and has been racing since he was 19 and is 30 something now. He has a wealth of knowledge and is extremely smart and a very down to earth guy. I approached him about the idea of turbo charging my busa and how I was going to go about it selling my current race car etc. at the time. I should have made this thread way back then but due to time constraints just never got around to it.
Here is his site and some of his rides. He owns 2 turbo Hayabusa's and 1 Turbo GSXR 1000
Ruthless Performance Motorsports
Here is a few of his bikes.
Here is his GSXR 1000 that he built from top to bottom including paint! Motor work and all done by him. Idles and responds like a stock 1000!
First thing I acquired on my quest was a full enclosed trailer for the bike. Got a hell of a deal on it! 1k!
Here is a pic of it just before we tore it apart. It ran perfectly fine and was sitting at about 9k miles. Ran like a top.

Here is the break down of the bike last year.

It spent the next few months getting powder coated and repainted and multiple other things done. Here is the pics from the day I picked it up.

Here is the motor that "Supposedly" got built. But come to find out the builder took it apart and never did anything! The builder was up in Maine not a local guy to me.
Last weeks beginning build of the bike finally coming back together! Curtsy of the crew at RPM where the bike resides now.

HA, cool!![]()
Ahhh yes over 20k now!
Finally decided on a 50 trim was going garrett but after reading the story about them out sourcing completely I have shyed away. Using another reputable company just can't think of the name of them but there about half the price of a garrett but just as good.
As for a turbo kit I started with a Stage 2 kit and then decided it was not enough and ended up replacing everything but the plenum and IC! I think it will come together back as a kit and be sold next year as I will switch to a water to air IC with the plenum built in. Just ordered a new T3 flanged Manifold from RCC so I can have a lot more options. Running a Tial 38mm WG and a HKS BOV.
Put a +6 stretch on it enough so I can still come up but not enough to make it look stupid and put a +6 Tail on to make it look right. Shooting for 350 whp motor will be strong enough for +700whp but that's next year need to learn now to ride a turbo busa first.
Bottom end has wosner rods and pistons (Not sure if I spelt that right) and every other bell and whistle to make this work. Rest of its at the shop getting drilled out for large diameter head studs because I plan to race land speed this year and the motor will be in full boost for long periods so the larger studs will eliminate the head lifting off the block.
As for electronics some how I am getting the new prototype mini squirt box that will control EVERYTHING. Its a revamped version of the old mini squirt just with a TON of new options everything from 3 extra inputs to log what every you can put on too controlling everything from the C02 shifter to AMS 1000 all from 1 Box!
Also got the self tune option added I put in the desired A/F Ratio and the bike does the rest! And it will dial it in closer automatically each pass I make! Like having a tuner in the bike!
Tranny is just getting undercut here and there got to see what is required for this HP range I am sure it will be getting a lot more done soon. I also bought the Large billet output shaft for it too.
Where is the Keypad, Mouse and Remote going?
very nice

Not my thang, but it looks like you're having fun. Keep on keeping on. It's nice to see you aren't just bolting a bunch of garbage on there.
