Camera quality looks good. First bit says the camera is mounted on a mount converted from a gopro. Does that mean you've now owned both? Any thoughts on which one is better?

Can it stream live video? That's what made me mess my pants about the new Gopro, my gf/pit crew can watch the race, realtime, from my perspective. This may fuck with the accuracy of my pit board...

the Roam is Contour's "basic" model

doesn't have the GPS, I think with the Contour + you can get an app to stream with bluetooth

the + is the top end model, gps is nice if you want post ride telemetry

#1 You were in the bug's blind spot. Blind spots are huge when people are yapping on the phone. Especially huge on convertibles.
#2 Hard to tell, but I feel like you might have had time to yield, even though you have the right of way.
#3 Passing on the right is a bad idea if you've been up on someone for a while, especially with your brights on. The same space you use to go around is the space someone might be looking for to get out of your way.

It's dangerous to ride aggressively in the city because being vulnerable and exposed on a bike means you lose, even when technically you have the right of way.

Be careful out there.

I shimmed the angle up a bit better view, tried covering the micwith a piece of foam but no improvement in wind noise

Go to your camera settings on your computer and turn down the mic volume.
It took away most of the whistle noise in mine and helped a lot with the wind noise.

it is all in differnt views to each person, keep in mind i was the one riding with cars on my ass that i had to worry about and not riding in blindspots, i was passing. Thanks tho

The issue is with the GoPro is that your not always sure if it is on or off, if recording has started.
The biggest issue is that if i realize i am in a wasted spot to film I have a hard time just shutting The GP off and the battery sucks in the old models. with only a 2GB memory

I use the wide angle a bit my buddies have, but the other issues are that you can record if it is facing up like a normal camera or upside down mode. Thats it!

The Roam is not the original version. It has been done several times. The roam is the cheapest of the three (Roam, Gps and the +)
With a discount the Roam cost 169.00, water proof from rain and 1 meter. The 2 coolest things are
1. the lense is rotating with a lazor that lets me see whi it os at the right angle. No matter how I mount it, she records right
2. the slide and record peiece. I can slide it to start and stop making it easy (the go pro you have to wait for it to turn on then when i hit the record button, it is a 50/50 if it starts the first time(lotta damage)

Easy to use, easy to mount and i also converted a piece so I can use my gopro suction as well and my rear mount i made years ago. Sweet for me, I like it. Up to a 32GB card and an internal battery that lasts up to 4hours, I havent tries yet but thats long. So once I hit Deals gap for the day, I never need to shut it off, thats a full serious ride and using the same SD card. Works for me......

Yeah the first gen gopro that I have sucks too. The new ones however...are awesome. plus many more retail stores carry gopro accessories than countour. When I get a new cam it will be the gopro.

the new one has the pac and remote. I wish it had the 360 lense to put at any angle, then it would be great. At the end of the day, as long as i can make some fun vids...... my old go pro works about 70% of the time. but it works..... so i can have one for rear and one for front, super cool
